They're ranking the portal. We ain't in it.

If I said we could get anyone else left in the portal, and load our roster, would we be a contender if Stokes doesn't buy in?

Most of those teams are stockpiling. Miller a good example of not being all over the place and landing recruits fast and quietly. Meanwhile back at the ranch...........

UConn very pointed to their land. Ball hasn't committed to coming back yet. Makes me wonder if they're moving on and moving Mullins to 2G.

teams with multiple top 50 portal transfers:
  • UL
  • Texas
  • Indiana
  • Kentucky
  • UConn
  • Missouri
  • Tennessee
  • West Virginia
  • Miami

No one currently has 3. If we land Freeman, that would be us. And we can also add the #1 recruit in the country.

This biggest issue with the program right now is that the fanbase is largely stupid and toxic.

Those rankings will change because theirs to many good players out there and good teams that haven’t finalized their rosters yet.

Lol, Mark.

The biggest problem with the program is the lack of good play on the court. I think the coach is a little more responsible for that than the fans.

I am offended that you find demanding fans offensive. We are trying to uphold the standards of the program

Our transfers so far are not top 10 rated. However, Kentucky fans every year elevate anyone who comes to the program beyond their current status. Now that doesn't mean that couldn't happen as the reverse has occurred as well where a supposed top player doesn't prove to be what was thought. What seems to have often occurred even in the Cal era was missing one key recruit for a position and then that becomes the team weakness. We have hope and time will tell but the more we get the better the odds.

That's a deceptive list. Why?

UL has two of the top 50, but both are top 15. IU has three of the top 50 but two are top 20 and they have three others that are in the top 150.

*Notable - Will Wade at LSU currently has zero scholarship players on his roster. Yes; zero. No freshmen; no portal players, and no returnees.

There's another one, calling a positive poster "Mark". So clever. I don't know how you guys think of these things!

Good thing the portal signings aren’t done yet.
And they aren't.
But it does show you who is deemed to be having a terrific portal.
And based on last year:
Michigan’s 2025–26 transfer portal class was ranked No. 3 in the nation according to ESPN’s final rankings, behind only Kentucky and St. John’s
So there's that.

Of course we aren't included. No matter what anyone tells you Diallo and Wilkins are solid additions, neither is a game changer that Pope and UK desperately need.

Landing the #27 and #40 transfer guys is not something to celebrate

The point of the exercise is a team, not players. This worrying about where one is ranked comes from the everyone get a ribbon mantra.

Irony is that only team on that list likely to be in the top ten is UConn. Rolling back players just as or more important.

6 SEC teams ranked ahead of us in the portal rankings I just looked at. Two of them are in the top 5. I know that the rankings will change when the rosters are final, but we have a long way to go to get back to being elite again.

2025 top 10 players
  • lendeborg - legit big time player
  • stirtz - scored on a terrible 13 loss team
  • pj haggerty - 3rd team in 3 years....chases points and money
  • JQ - non factor
  • darren williams - went to ncst to do what?
  • dent - bust most of the year
  • wooley - didnt even start for ul
  • rob wright - legit big time player
  • ian jackson - nothing for st johns

the only thing that is deceptive is thinking top 10-15 players are program changers. congrats to UL for getting a 6-9 center and a 6' point guard that cant shoot.

I don't know we arn't rated. According to many, Wright and Diallo are as good as Wall and Bledsoe
Yep. Same stuff happens every year. Overrates every player in the offseason. Then can't stand the player when reality hits during the season.

Geez -- that's a weird take to me. You listed nine players, not ten:
  • Stirtz is a borderline lotto pick and almost singlehandedly took Iowa to the Elite 8. Without him they're weren't even a tourney team. He was fantastic.
  • Dent averaged 13.3 and 7.6 assists/1.8 turnovers as the primary pg on a tourney team, and as you said got better as the year went on.
  • Williams averaged 14/4.6/40% 3pt on a borderline tourney team. NC State wasn't great, but he was pretty damn good.
  • Haggerty averaged 23.4, 5.3/3.8 assists. K State sucked, but he was really good and he was all they had.
Add those four to the two that you concede were big-time players, and that's six out of eight non JQ/UK/Pope players that were very successful.

That's a damn fine batting average.
