Yeah he’s got a lot of people he needs to convince. Other than the 6 Pope pumpers on here, everyone else sees that he’s not fit for this job. Including the recruits.

So we hired Keegan Brown and he turned into another major bust and complete waste of money.
That is where a GM with deep contacts working the backchannels would make a difference.
Pope wants the studs to think about gratitude. And beautiful stories.
I wait till roster is complete before saying turned into a bust and waste of money. I dont think in this instance pope should be matching whatever st johns is offering. He has history of injuries, and if he gets injured again people will complain even if its a few games

So True . Rancik was perfect fit. Great learning curve & has played with a very talented roster without hurting the chemistry. Ky needs a war room mentality like in the NFL Draft. Worst part is letting 19 - 20 yr olds string you along while other very talented players get insulted & go elsewhere.
Goode wasn’t tall enough & never truly engaged with Pope & Co.
Dont promise starting spots to anyone & say everyone has a chance to EARN a starting position at the beginning of June. Last year we knew that OO was a starter but the rest were up for grabs especially after Lowe got hurt & JQ was rehabbing.
Garrison , Noah , Mo D , OO , & Chandler started a first game. Many changes occurred during season . Jelly ended up a starter with MM & Kam getting the nod along with Aberdeen.
Cal’s biggest flaw was promising starter spots during recruiting & not judging current on court talent instead of Stars plus High School resumes.
