This is invariably where someone from KSR chimes in about how they were built on the "facts are optional" premise.

Bucky McMillan took over the Aggies last year. Buzz coached the year before. OK...we all make mistakes.

Maryland hasnt been in the ACC since joining the B1G in 2014. What are we doing folks?

It's just a lazy and shoddy product.

Good Lord, Maryland left the ACC a dozen years ago and that dope still doesn’t realize it?

There was once a time in the journalism world when publishing stupid blunders like that would get a writer quickly fired. That time is clearly long gone.

In fairness, Buzz Williams is the Maryland coach but did coach at T A&M so I can maybe see that one. Now the one about Maryland being in the ACC...

If they’re presenting content in the form of a news article ..as they are here …then it is quite fair to scrutinize the factual assertions as if it were a real article.

The funny thing about the ACC part is it clearly wasn’t just an accidental slip of the tongue, because he went on to discuss how the ACC being down at present might impact Wagner. That dude really thinks Md is in the ACC.

Online journalism is horrible these days. Yahoo articles often have numerous grammatical and factual mistakes that boggle the mind. One recent article even stated that one of the people involved had moved "back to the United States." Later in the article is was made clear that he had moved from Alaska to Arizona.

Having said that, when I make a mistake like that, I hope that nobody catches it or, if they do, I just claim that I had a "senior moment" and laugh about it. The KSR writer just needs to admit to his mistake and claim a "brain fart" while laughing about it.

I think it more about not having a real editor who would place “former” in the sentence about A&M and would likely catch the mistake about the ACC. And, might ask whether a story should say what “most” UK fans think about the move. Most UK fans probably did not know Wagner landed at Maryland. Most may not care. Most are probably neutral about the whole thing. Most want UK to win and may not care about Maryland or think much any more about Wagner. Who would know???

We’re not a news site! We just try to profit off of articles breaking and/or relaying “news” stories. No time for minimal fact checking.

It’s just a bLOg yall!! Fax r optional!!!!

No wonder journalism is dead when mouth breather consumers just take it (or in this case, defend it).

Yeah, that part was also comically dumb.

Wagner was here for one disappointing …and forgettable …season three years ago. Why would UK fans still be so emotionally invested in his career? Most of us had forgotten all about him.

Whoever’s responsible for that article should consider a new line of work.

I do think that UK fans were annoyed when he came into Rupp last year with Arkansas and lit it up from 3 when he never did it for UK or since that game.

It’s the #1 show in the state. Get over it.

lol I just read the article for the first time and I see no mention of the ACC. Kind of proves they read this board 🤣 oh thy also still didn’t put the word former in front of Texas AM so tha part is still worded wrong. Best journalist in the country right there.

There's been several of those "brain slips" the past week, just as there have been for its entire existence. They only produced real news when they copied it from other sites. Funny that they want to be seen as journalistic "press" when it suits them, and "just a sports blog" when they clearly fail at journalism.

We all know why, though we can't say it here.

You are correct, hell Maryland has been in the Big 10 for years now, but KSR sometimes jumps on something with out checking their facts.
