He might be the medicine Pope needed to takeMo looks damn good in that Kentucky hat, with that Kentucky player.
Thanks Mo, that's what we needed, some connection man![]()

Most of that money is allocated specifically for him. UK doesn’t get it without him, or maybe another very high-level guy.If no Stokes we still got a pot of gold from no stokes to disperse for top position players correct
Yeah you're right. In my previous post I said we needed a back up PG, but for got when have Mason Williams as a back up PG.He is but still need a SG when if foul trouble or injury sers in with him or Zoom. McNeil Or Able are best option both can defend
Needs to be paid well and given the keys to recruitingHe might be the medicine Pope needed to take
How many players we talking? Can you say that?! lolI’m not allowed! There’s nothing I’d love more than to be able to talk about it but then I personally would never get info again.
If Hawthorne's position is he either starts or he's out of here then so be it. I want to land Stokes if at all possible. I like Hawthorne's potential but do not really see him as a starter on a really good team at this point. He could turn out to be all that but I'm not willing to pin all of our hopes on it.
Final four or bust buddy
Means nothing. He will leave if he feels his spot is crowded.Hawthorne has already signed his NIL deal.
What board? Asking for a friend.FWIW . Someone that has had rock solid information on another board says that Stokes talked with some of our players after the Wilkins announcement. Again TIFWIW.

Pope has yet to prove he's on Golden's levelFlorida won a Championship with a bunch of 98th ranked guys
You are such a POSLmao a 4 star transfer from Furman and the 41st best player in the portal is getting it done? Holy **** you can’t make this up. Granted he’s a decent player but let’s give the credit where it’s due. That’s the money talking not Pope.
Again, that was not the point of the conversation at allPope has yet to prove he's on Golden's level
People forget that Clayton was not highly sought after when he entered the portal.Florida won a Championship with a bunch of 98th ranked guys
Going to need a back up center they may go internationalYeah you're right. In my previous post I said we needed a back up PG, but for got when have Mason Williams as a back up PG.
We need one more SG, Freeman, Stokes and Rancik to finish the roster I think.
I would definitely believe that actually because last week I heard from 2 separate high level recruits going elsewhere that Stokes was telling them it would be Kentucky. I typically stay away from speculative information but the tea leaves to me are aligned for Stokes to come here. I’d be surprised if he goes elsewhere but it’s been a weird recruitment so it’s possible.FWIW . Someone that has had rock solid information on another board says that Stokes talked with some of our players after the Wilkins announcement. Again TIFWIW.
So you saying Hawthorne heads to the portal? One of McNeil, Brown, Cox, McNair
Stokes or Momcilivic (Stokes is my prediction)
Freeman
Rancik likely and McBride is the next option and we may get both.
Williams/Reclass from 27’ or Dynes for backup 5 slot.
Will add a Euro forward as well, in talks with several of them and most likely one more guard depth piece.
My best prediction of our lineup is: (several plug and play portal swaps with the bench guys but just my guess based off the information available today)
Diallo
Wilkins
Stokes
Freeman
Moreno
Kam Williams
Mcneil
Rancik
McBride
Mason Williams
Potter
Noah
Dynes
Euro forward
Freeman/Rancik/Moreno will rotate at the 5 a lot with Potter and Dynes getting only 8-10 a game combined. Stokes will play some 4 as well.
I think he was.People forget that Clayton was not highly sought after when he entered the portal.
We still need that shooter who can get his. Diallo can drive, Wilkins will need screens but can score at all three levels, freeman can get his as can Stokes if he comes so you still need another STUD who can take over. They gotta figure in foul trouble, injury sickness any unknown, probably international back up center/ big PF get cheap hopefully high out putYeah you're right. In my previous post I said we needed a back up PG, but for got when have Mason Williams as a back up PG.
We need one more SG, Freeman, Stokes and Rancik to finish the roster I think.
Might also be a better fit with the pieces already in place! Not really. Freeman is more talented but Rancik is a quality player
Not at allPeople forget that Clayton was not highly sought after when he entered the portal.
He was one of the top players in the portal. Not at all
If Im Hawthorne i stay the course. Too many unknown variables still TBD.If Hawthorne's position is he either starts or he's out of here then so be it. I want to land Stokes if at all possible. I like Hawthorne's potential but do not really see him as a starter on a really good team at this point. He could turn out to be all that but I'm not willing to pin all of our hopes on it.

KSRWhat board? Asking for a friend.
McNair????If we end up with Stokes give me McNair over McNeil. If not switch it around.
44% from 3 last season. He’d be the off the bench shooting threat we need.McNair????
Yes almost a guarantee IMO.So you saying Hawthorne heads to the portal?
IF Rancik will be a back up you could use him at 4 and spot centerMight also be a better fit with the pieces already in place!
Man I love these recruitment nuggets that get posted.FWIW . Someone that has had rock solid information on another board says that Stokes talked with some of our players after the Wilkins announcement. Again TIFWIW.
So you're saying he might come but he might not? GroundbreakingI would definitely believe that actually because last week I heard from 2 separate high level recruits going elsewhere that Stokes was telling them it would be Kentucky. I typically stay away from speculative information but the tea leaves to me are aligned for Stokes to come here. I’d be surprised if he goes elsewhere but it’s been a weird recruitment so it’s possible.
Imagine Hawthorn being that diamond he was a top ten SF has a year under his belt in the offense you need those pleasers off the bench that push your top guysI’m not really that connected to know exactly how many honestly. Besides Rancik/Freeman, we have another one coming in the next 2-3 days that might surprise a few folks. (Not Stokes) Although I think we do have a great chance at Stokes. Like I said, I’m not super connected or an insider but I’d put us at 75% UK for Stokes.
