I think it will be interesting if anymore highly ranked players will wait till the last minute to enter the portal. Maybe that’s what the staff is waiting on? I don’t know but it’s strange how quiet things have been during this recruiting period and it seems like they aren’t after many of the top ten players at this point that I’m aware of.
So bottom line, is it JMI or Pope ?

I don’t really follow exactly what you’re saying. But there’s no doubt that leaders exist. And many of them of different kinds. A lot of times leadership styles can be dictated by field. Jobs where someone is performing “simple” tasks repeatedly through hard labor may require a Type A director, whereas others that require creativity/ingenuity may require a Type B leader. There’s a reason for many companies to use flattening hierarchical organizational systems these days in modern business settings. There is no on-size fits all though.
That’s playing Russian Roulette, brilliant strategy to potentially snag the final chess piece for your roster, that’s not Pope’s situation however, he’s sitting upon one of the most depleted rosters in CBB.
I wouldn’t be surprised if some of these players agents don’t start trying to get them deals before they officially enter the portal though. I know what you mean by saying that’s Russian roulette. I’m impatient and nervous about who they end up with.

The bottom line is. After last seasons debacle. Pope should have gone into this portal season scorched earth. JMI be damned. But he hasn’t. Because he isn’t capable. I wish there was some way to get him to step down immediately for the good of the program.
