I've been watching baseball since at least sitting in Yankee Stadium during the 1964 WS. I've never heard the term "spartan" until today. I love how I keep learning stuff about this fascinating game all the time. Here's to the Heels getting many more spartans this year.

Super write-up, Ms. Grace. We can take 1st place in the ACC with a win tomorrow. That would be fantastic, although the Heels have been fantastic already this week-end.
Reading some of the stuff many "experts" were writing before this series is hysterical. Heels out here making clowns of a lot of folks today and I'm here for it.
Do we think both Globe and Duff are available for at least an inning tomorrow or are they both done for the weekend? I assume Rose is ready for some work…

I would say that these were UNC's two best wins of the season so far and two of the best played by the Heels. The combination of pitching, defense and hitting has been near optimal. Not perfect, but considering the stakes and the caliber of competition, very, very good.
We are getting ready to find out if the Jackets are rattled or if have only kicked the nest and made them angry.
Always good to kill off yellow jackets on a cool day when they’re not buzzing around much and you know where to pour on the gas. Anyone got a match???
