So if somehow Oweh can and wants to come back would you want him back this year?

I keep on seeing this being thrown around all over so, I thought I'd get the pulse of this board to see what they think.

As long as he promises to fire in 4 or 5 more of those Santa Clara miracles next year, I’d definitely want him back.😁

I feel like Oweh was simultaneously a big part of the chemistry problem last year and one of a very few factors that prevented a total collapse last season. Great player, but if this roster shapes up anything like we hope it does, there won't be enough basketballs on the court for him and everyone else who wants to score. However, I'd say yes just because he's been my favorite player the last two years.

Yes. Anyone that does not want a 1,000-point scorer back and All SEC performer back is biased by their thoughts on last season. OO admitted that he was slowed early in the season by his turf toe. During SEC play he was playing well. I do not think the Cats get both OO and Stokes, but expectations would be that either would be your go to player and leading scorer.

He was hands down the best player we had …basically saving us from having another 9-16 disaster level season …and he would easily be the best of the players we currently have signed for next year.

it takes a special kind of dumb to answer no to this question

That’s ridiculous. What evidence do you have he doesn’t get along with others? He shot 33% from 3 this year and 35 last year. He averaged almost 3 assists and 2 steals. Otega Oweh is a stud who would start for damn near every UK team in history.

And that’s why Pope is about to be 3 and out! Oweh needs a coach like Hurley or Golden, and needs to be a 3rd option…

Any team he’s the first option for, is losing a bunch of games.

Not being “negative” or a hater, I just don’t give passes to players on the home team.

If he comes back, he can’t be the man. He’s a good player WITHIN HIS ABILITIES. If he thinks he’s the best player and the offense needs to run through him, no thanks. And considering Pope paid him to be that last year, he’d likely have to take a pay cut.
