I'm enjoying it for now, but they currently have Will Wade, Johnny Jones, and Tricky Ricky Staaaansbury on staff...
I feel certain that they will get players. Sadly, I feel fairly damn certain that they will have better players than us in short order.
He supposedly has $12M to spend in the portal this year, so I am sure he'll get players. I think what is slowing a lot of the basketball transfer portal action is the "5 for 5" eligibility rule that the NCAA is considering. If that goes through, there will be a lot of players, who have exhausted their eligibility and would have gone pro, that will now become available for the portal. They will make more money playing college basketball that turning pro.
Looks like he already signed with Xavier.
It would be nice for once to get someone to transfer to MSU from LSU instead of the other way around.
Stans is washed. Wade is average. Jones did nothing aside from the one year Mussleman was his top assistant

I guess we'll see. Hey I hope I'm wrong, but in this day and age in college athletics, Wade doesn't really have to be John Wooden to be competitive. Just get all the best athletes, which all three of those guys specialize in.

I don't really know, just seemed more likely to me at the time. He needed to do something and Rick makes a good scapegoat because you know he'll keep his mouth shut. Again, I guess we will see. I do hope I'm wrong about the Legion of Doom Will Wade has assembled over there.

Let me rephrase. I know what the legion of doom is. What makes lsu mbb staff so scary? Stans and Jones are average floor coaches and their recruiting “advantages” are irrelevant with NIL. Wade’s best team at lsu was bought and he was fired for it. I will admit his 25 McNeese team was pretty good but his NC State team limped to the finish line. Just because they have 3 names that people recognize doesn’t mean they’ll do anything
Ok, I give. I think those three together could be dangerous (recruiting-wise) and will probably roll us (again, recruiting-wise), but you say they will suck so we have nothing to worry about.
Let's all hope you're right. Either way, time will tell and it's for sure not something worth arguing over today. I've got to get back to reading the 47 new posts by the same 4 guys telling us how much MSU baseball sucks.
