We aren’t prepared at the men’s level at the moment to compete in these type of settings, great place to get absolutely hammered if we’re not careful, potentially twice for the world to see.
I agree at this point and time not good for the men's side of it but man get the right coach in here and this could be an awesome summer event every year!

This! And with our injury prowess, we would lose three starters just getting on and off the plane alone. No thanks!

A few thoughts about this:

1. Why was this ever limited to only once every so many years anyway? Seems like another random rule the NCAA wrote for no particular or useful reason. But, whatever.

2. And does it have to be a "FOREIGN" tour? Must schools leave the country in order to take part in same sort of summertime games?

2. On the one hand, this concept seems rather comical in today's college basketball landscape as many teams will barely be patched together by the summertime each year. Hell, these days the majority of all college basketball players hit the portal EVERY year.

3. On the other hand, I suppose this may be useful for coaches trying to reassemble their entire roster every year and build some sort of team. This will give them an opportunity to get some game action for the random set of 15 players they managed to slap together in April based on a cursory review of YouTube highlight videos and shooting percentage stats.

These summer exhibition games can be great for the team and fans that can go. The games will come pretty quick after rosters are finalized (and in some instances a player may even be added after that event). But the competition is generally at a lower level. The summer events UK has played in the past have not been like the in-season special tournament events (e.g., Vegas).
