If NIL $$ requirements are significantly higher, time for Keli to step up. It’s her job to raise the necessary funds to support a competitive team. We need Big 10 caliber players that cost $, so sick and tired of hearing we still don’t have enough NIL. Keli make it happen!!!
Not ideal that we don't have a lot of info but it sounds like there will be a commit soon and the indication is that it isn't someone that was mentioned as a previous target. And there is also someone visiting now but there has been nothing released about who that is. If that's true then it would give me some relief that things are happening and we'll know when we they commit.
Darius Adams is now in the portal. He didn't have a great year as a freshman (which might make him more obtainable) but the potential is there. The guy was recruited and signed by defending national champ UConn not long ago. And he's a Jersey boy...
He's got the length but certainly not the shooting percentage RU is looking for - only 35% overall FG% and only 25% from 3 with a negative Assist to TO ratio. Pass . . .
Nope. We’re likely done at guard. Pike went the point forward route which made a lot of sense. He added a RHJ style scorer whose a good FT shooter like Tariq which takes pressure off us to pay for a scoring center / PF. Now we must address the frontcourt D with a rim protector.

Whatever this cost - it was uniquely “cheap” because it addresses multiple needs in one single pick up. Aside from filling a projected starting role at forward, he’s a high volume sharp shooter and played stretches of point forward (meaning he has ball handling skills which is huge considering our guards are small). Duarte makes less sense by the minute, but if that’s our biggest critique of the portal cycle when the dust settles, sign me up.
We will Add a guard, forward , ahopefully 2 centers.

There’s almost no chance we are adding an additional starting caliber guard. The bulk of our money will go towards a center and a PF. Then we’ll need someone servicable to back them up.
