I hope the job keeps getting better

We'll have to compete on leftovers as I'm the "champion leftover eater"

As far a taking over, that's a long way away, but JW certainly has what it takes
I had left over quinoa salad from Sunday, ham from Easter (frozen until today), and peas from the freezer for my lunch today. Spiced up with a bit of hot sauce. I challenge anyone to my left over prowess. ;)

To be honest, I think Meyer is "all over the place" in much more than just his transfer landing spot. He is super talented and a title contender if he pulls it together, so definitely worth the risk imo for anyone that he is looking at. I honestly thought he was going to win it all 2 years ago before his serious health issues.

"serious health issues"

I challenge thee.

I have to say this out loud. a hot ham loaf is disgusting. I'll never understand the allure of it. It's this mass of lunchmeat that just completely underseasoned, yet oversalted at the same time. It feels like a meal you give someone in solitaire.

So now - my lunch so far this week

Lamb Biryani - $17 plate, but considering its enough to make a meal for another date, well worth it.
Leftover pulled pork with cilantro lime rice and chimmichurri. The pulled pork was brined with Golden Mustard, dijon mustard, 32 herbs and spices and I reserved some that i injected with melted butter. 7 pound pork shoulder, so plenty of leftovers after my adults kids came over to hang out.

First of all - it was a real ham and not ham loaf. Secondly, I just got back from the Masters so I feel pretty confident my leftover game will pick up just fine. My leftovers are all made by me during the weekend and then consumed during the week, so I'll take the prize for frugality as well.

Look. don't get me started. Even the "real ham" that people love at Thanksgiving and Christmas is just terrible. and then people try to hide it with a toothpick-punctured pineapple or something equally egregious that didn't even participate in flavoring the damn meat.

Now? You want to take that sad ham and make a pulled ham out of it? Sign me up. That's what I've started doing.

These aren’t high school kids. They’ve already had that opportunity to make their own announcement. Do we want inside information or not?
I will survive until they announce. I stand by my statement. Skim Milkey on women's bball just posts a gif of the team that is about to secure a commitment. Let's the athlete announce.

Do you think it possibly could have been that he became motivated to become a better wrestler once he entered college? Maybe he became more disciplined as he grew up. Skill development is every bit and more the responsibility of the athlete. If you don't listen to what the coaches have to say, is it the coach's fault or the athlete?
People also tend to forget that Buchanan basically bumped a weight class every year he was in high school (160, 170, 182, 195) and didn't start to get close to college size until he was a senior. He was an above average middle weight wrestler...but as he grew, he maintained the middle weight technique and added length and weight. Most schools were essentially done recruiting for his class before he grew into a legitimate upper weight.

Had he have hit that size earlier, I don't know if he would have been a top 25 kid but I would bet he would have cracked the top 100.

Buchanan in an interview said his lack of freestyle participation hurt his rank, that he wasn't particularly well known outside the state.

Idk I’m not a magic 8 ball (sorry for the sarcasm).

Probably because proven results > an unknown commodity.

also note there’s no guarantee he’s correct (however his portal information has been generally accurate).

Edit to add Nebraska is going all in. Hawks probably projecting 6th right now and that’s going to get Tom fired.

Because Provo's really good. This isn't the Provo that Drake teched in the tourney two years ago. He just had a terrific tourney in March. Provo>>>V-Rob.
With one year of eligibility. Granted, I imagine if old rules stay he could medical shirt this year, red shirt next year and then go but I mean...I wouldn't be surprised if delucca beats Provo next year. I wouldn't be surprised if Provo loses in the blood round next year. Transfers sound great, they're sexy. They also account for one individual title for iowa since the portal opened in 2018. If you're not hunting for individual titles, you're better off sticking with the elite recruit you brought in.

*As an elite top tier program. Clearly, many schools need the portal just to find AAs.

He’s a rental. Leo’s got 4 years and is a blue chip recruit. I’m guessing if this is true, Leo’s health isn’t great, which would be terrible for the future.
