This schedule really is tough, top to bottom. Couple that they will be heavily favored in but not a tomato can in the bunch. This has to be the toughest for all 9 weeks in the State. I know ESL will play some powerhouses but their conference schedule is a cake walk for them.

Any of the Unknowns get filled yet?
I believe that I have the full schedule to my knowledge updated on the first post. The remaining unknowns I have are Fenwick, JCA, and Montini in Week 1. I also have games for Brother Rice and Montini in Week 2 that are questionable because other schools have the same opponents listed for that week as well. Otherwise I believe my CCL/ESCC schedule is complete.

Completely agree. I would say JCA, Marist, Pats and PC are for sure wins. ESL, Rice, LA, Naz and St Joseph should all be great games.

PC is gonna be pretty darn good, wouldn't surprise me if they give MC a game.
They will give them a game but I don't know if they can hang for 4 quarters or if there secondary can cover Burrell, Thorton and Simms for an entire game consistently.

With all the talent they have going 9-0 with this schedule, especially with the first 3 weeks, is going to be hard. They are teenagers, they are going to get banged up every week as this will be every teams bulletin board game (old school saying there). Playing PC in week 7 will be better for PC then if we played them earlier.

All. The JCA school site on their schedule page still showing week one not filled . A Hilltopper/Bronco game to open up the season would be one heck of a game to start off the 2026 season.... Ratsy
Fenwick appears to have Week 1 open too. Maybe one of these teams is looking for an out-of-state game? Both Proviso schools may also have openings as well.

I know you only need 3 wins now (and probably only 2 with a good schedule) but JCA opening with Montini, SHG, and then PC would seem to be quite aggressive scheduling. I was ok adding SHG only if week 1 was a softer opponent. Montini will be top notch next year and JCA will be very young especially on offense. Not an ideal year to open with a monster schedule.

i was hoping Joliet Central would be open. Or perhaps East Aurora.

Joliet Catholic vs Montini is what the people want to see. Hopefully Joliet Central can secure a Upstate 8 or Southland school of comparable ability.

In Week 1 Joliet Central plays Thornridge. East Aurora plays Plainfield Central.

People want to see a 49-7 beat down? Give it a couple of years and I'm on board for this matchup.
Need help with those bags of sand? Even MC didnt beat JCA like that. It'll be a good competitive game. And an 8 (or 7) game schedule is a bad idea. Gotta lock in while it's available.

Think it is down to Montini, JCA, & Fenwick? Montini praying an out of state “challenge” didn’t see their Qb commit on ESPN, Fenwick trying to figure out how to win with only one Thies brother, and JCA, well I’m not sure? I feel like I don’t know anything about them. Do these schools contact each other at all??

Shout out to my Caravan for letting it rip vs East Side, IC vs Naz clearly not afraid of a challenge, Rita v Marist and so many other’s who aren’t gunning for a week one cupcake!!

Really not sandbagging at all. Yes the name says Joliet Catholic. But it's a team that went 4-6 that lost their best defensive players and returns essentially no receiving, rushing, or passing yards. And the only rostered QB's appear to be rising sophs. The frosh were pretty good. The rising senior class has a handful of legitimate studs but isn't numerically deep. The rising juniors are largely unknown.

In week 1, I assume Montini would handle JC and it might not be particularly close. By the end of the season, if JC can find an offensive identity and the new QB/RB/WR talent pans out, I could see JC staying in a game with a team like that. That is precisely why a cupcake in week 1 before SHG and PC would be very helpful. The young guys need to get some runway underneath them. Starting at 0-3 is no way for a young, potentially promising group to be baptized.

I hear you. But its still JCA. The kids that come are ready to play. One thing I can tell you after the the 23 & 24 season is no one is shedding tears for winning programs. When we're down we just gotta take those bumps.
