Great opponent but will not be the same team. Everything went right for them with outstanding qb play. Great head coach.
RU has a lot of question marks but if RU can get it’s defense up to respectable this game will be interesting going into the 4th quarter.

Why do we keep doing this nonsense?Homecoming should've been 9/26 vs Howard, so we actually sell tickets, or 11/14 vs Nebraska.

Yup. Howard on 9/26 was a much better option, plus it would have driven ticket sales for that game.
I thought for sure Howard was a Jewish holiday or something and that's why it wasn't picked but nope! This makes 0 sense.
Yep that’s a brilliant idea 3 years ago when Indiana stunk like us. This will be a beatdown….. at least a good drinking back at the Tailgates in the 2nd Half.That's just brilliant.

I was going to ask about that. I went and tried to search other Big 10 homecoming games this year, but got sidetracked.
11 a.m., just like at most of our B1G brothers.
(Yes, I know about the time zone for anyone who his going to "correct" this.)This appears to be a thing, and makes sense why RU chose this game then. I searched a handful of B10 schools and every school that had a HC game posted was a conference game. What a stupid rule for the B10 to have. They should try to increase attendance for lousy OOC games for everyone.
The year before that (2024), UCLA was the homecoming game. We lost that one, too. That was supposed to be close to a sure win as you get in the B1G. Before the UCLA game, it was Michigan State (2023). We won that game. And before that was Indiana (2022), which we won, too. At this point, people are complaining just to hear themselves. Looking at previous games, Rutgers has made it a point to hold homecoming sometime in mid-October, which is the heart of conference play.
NW set that game up to be played in October for an easy victory. NW had played several B1G conference games by the time they faced ULM. That's a SEC move.
Every other B1G team is usually well into its conference games.So many know nothings claiming this is Rutgers fault!!! Big Ten picks the Homecoming opponents of all teams & the University has no say in it. Big Ten rules. For better tv matchups!
