Rutgers announces homecoming game in 2026 will be against Indiana
Rutgers Football has announced their 2026 Homecoming game and it's against one of the Big Ten's best programs recently.
This is so ******* stupid. Howard was right there.
Yep that’s a brilliant idea 3 years ago when Indiana stunk like us. This will be a beatdown….. at least a good drinking back at the Tailgates in the 2nd Half. That's just brilliant.

I was going to ask about that. I went and tried to search other Big 10 homecoming games this year, but got sidetracked.Isn't the Big Ten rule that homecoming has to be against a conference opponent? If yes then the timing fits, November is too late.
11 a.m., just like at most of our B1G brothers.Insult to injury would be if they made it a noon start.
This appears to be a thing, and makes sense why RU chose this game then. I searched a handful of B10 schools and every school that had a HC game posted was a conference game. What a stupid rule for the B10 to have. They should try to increase attendance for lousy OOC games for everyone.I was going to ask about that. No because NW played Louisiana Monroe for HC last year.Isn't the Big Ten rule that homecoming has to be against a conference opponent? If yes then the timing fits, November is too late.
The year before that (2024), UCLA was the homecoming game. We lost that one, too. That was supposed to be close to a sure win as you get in the B1G. Before the UCLA game, it was Michigan State (2023). We won that game. And before that was Indiana (2022), which we won, too. At this point, people are complaining just to hear themselves. Looking at previous games, Rutgers has made it a point to hold homecoming sometime in mid-October, which is the heart of conference play.Might work out. Who knows?
Wasn’t pretty last year. I think Oregon is still scoring!
NW set that game up to be played in October for an easy victory. NW had played several B1G conference games by the time they faced ULM. That's a SEC move.No because NW played Louisiana Monroe for HC last year.

So many know nothings claiming this is Rutgers fault!!! Big Ten picks the Homecoming opponents of all teams & the University has no say in it. Big Ten rules. For better tv matchups! Why do we keep doing this nonsense?Homecoming should've been 9/26 vs Howard, so we actually sell tickets, or 11/14 vs Nebraska.
Sure. Northwestern played ULM last year. Try again. So many know nothings claiming this is Rutgers fault!!! Big Ten picks the Homecoming opponents of all teams & the University has no say in it. Big Ten rules. For better tv matchups!
