Definitely need Tar Heel Nation to pack the place out 3 days in a row this weekend. Bring the energy! Team needs it and feeds off of it.

Really looking forward to it. Not only for the game, but I get the pleasure of bringing my grandson on Friday and my son on Sunday.

The Saturday game shows as sold out on Goheels.com, Friday has a set of 3 available in 106, and general admission seating in 117, while Sunday shows general admission seats available in 116 and 117. Hopefully the season ticket holders either show up or get their tickets in the hands of UNC fans who WILL show up.

Saturday noon game for TV is just brutal. Should be a 6 pm Saturday evening game but this is the deal the schools sign up for. Instead it's going to be high noon first pitch, 90+ degrees and people are going to be out of their seats and crowding in the concourse.

TV schedule set long ago....and it's mid April. It could be in the 40s or in the 90s here in central NC.....I think most would chose the latter. But it will be scorching in the stands for sure. Good thing the Bosh has that concourse covered. Plenty of schools don't...

Everyone do yourself a favor and DO NOT go look at Tech's offensive numbers... it's downright frightening. And don't think their pitching is terrible... it's pretty good too... 4th in the conference in ERA. They win a series at Pitt despite giving up 30 runs, then hold NC St. to 5 runs, and then Cal to 7 runs. I guess we hope to pitch better than the wolfies (which I think we can and will) since they allowed the least runs in an ACC series to Tech with 19, and hit better than they did. But it's not a great looking matchup on paper at this point. Really gonna have to get some runs put up, as I think it's a given that they will score quite a few against anyone not named Decaro, Lynch, Globe, and Duff, and maybe Rose. And I'm not sure how those guys will stand up.

They do throw 3 righties as starters, but all three appear to be pretty solid with none over a 3.50 ERA, and their Sunday guy may be their best of the bunch.

Think in the end... it's time to actually see if great pitching beats great hitting!!
