Well, Mo Williams didn't get to the league and ball out by being a nice guy, that dude has some stones, so I feel confident the Mo would be a huge asset to have in this case. I think Tyran would respect him enough to listen to him.

Yep. And Cal let Klutch play him like a violin his last two seasons here with Livingston and Edwards.

None of these coaches are immune to players that end up being chemistry issues.

If we get Stokes and it doesn’t work out. And we’re just as bad and Stokes draft stock falls, yes, thats going to make Pope look worse.

We haven't seen Pope with elite talent. By your logic Pope should never aspire to land any great players because it may not work out. Makes no sense

Sort of. We haven’t seen him with elite talent yet unless you count Jasper Johnson and that didn’t go so well.

Also all #1 high school prospects are not created equal. I’m guessing Goodman just doesn’t think Stokes is all that. Not the same level of Dybantsa, Peterson or Boozer.

We’ve witnessed this first hand ourselves. DJ Wagner and Skal. Aaron Bradshaw was also supposed to be elite and has been a bust.

I don’t think Stokes is all that either. But hed still be the best prospect Pope has gotten. So I still hope we get him and hope to be wrong.

I see where Goodman is going with this. And yeah Goodman loves Mark Pope because him and Cal didn’t get along and it limited his access to the flagship basketball program in the sport. That’s not as much of an issue with Pope here as him and Pope get along.

This is way more damning about Mark Pope than it is Tyran stokes. If Mark Pope can't handle elite talent with an attitude than he isn't fit to be the head coach of Kentucky. This is not BYU, but even they are getting top guys now.
