They’ve been in a bidding war for months. They tapped out and put a ceiling on their offer. You can perceive that to mean whatever you want but it’s been a bidding war all year.

They got a $300,000,000 donation to the athletic department from alum David Booth whom the football stadium is named after.
I'm assuming this is just a guess? I know you said definitely but is there actually anything factual behind it?

Yes, Stokes knows the Kansas offer is what it is and it’s roughly 2 million less than ours. This is why you hear people saying he is shopping himself to other schools as well. It’s also a fact he prefers Kansas to Kentucky but when it’s 2 million dollars it shouldn’t be that hard to look the other way and sign with us. We will find out.
Has he gone public with this? Do you have a link to him, UK, or Kansas actually stating this? I know this has been a popular rumor but like I asked before is there actually anything factual to back this up? I am not just accepting it is true because people that do not actually have any way of knowing keep repeating it.

I mean, it’s about like any other “news” you see on any other fansite. Him saying it is akin to rolling with the thoughts of the more sensible folks on here. I don’t think it’s any secret he prefers KU. They legit seem to have a smaller budget from what he says. Some major Petersen PTSD. If the money is close, he’ll go to KU. If it’s not, I think he comes to Lex. I’ve honestly thought, all along, this visit is to somehow show a bluff to KU to get them to up their offer.

I think stokes will wait till kansas and Kentucky is 99% done with roster. Probably to see which would benefit him the most before making the announcement. I can see this going on till his graduation
But there was no way to know that it was a joke, from my side. I also get some rude comments on here about my appearance, so maybe you can see where I'm coming from. Sorry.
I hope that Pope has the guts to continue recruiting as soon as the visit is over. It's business and Pope needs to show that he's serious and not going to way around on people.

Kansas has decided what they will pay and not moving.
Stokes is trying to get them to up their offer. But they have decided to not.
They don’t need him like Pope does. Pope needs to just ask Stokes what the number is and then pay it.
