Iowa State went bargain bin shopping. Maybe it will work for them, who knows. But their commits weren't "as heavily" recruited as the guys we're after.
Most if not all of them. That’s not just my opinion either, people who know far more than I share that opinion. If it works out for them great, but there’s a reason their competition for those guys was a touch different.
I know SOME things about their incoming guys but the loss of Milan is a blow for sure. Not sure they have anyone coming in that replaces what he brought to the table. They have a hell of a coach though and he seems to make things work. One of their 4 new guys averages 0.8 ppg and 0.8 rpg.

Yeah, on the surface the class seems pretty sketchy lol. But Otz is a good coach so who knows. I think they have a pretty good nucleus returning even without Milan, so I'm sure he'll have them ready to roll.
No big names, but they appear to put a premium on defense with these guys. If they lose Milan, I’m not sure where their scoring is going to come from. The PG looks solid but relying on a 5’10” PG as a primary scoring option is not ideal. Maybe they think Batemon or Toure will make significant strides there.
Milan is as good as gone. Why he entered draft and portal yesterday. Radio out of DSM this morning saying isu didn’t want to wait and take chance of him coming back then figure out financials. plus if he drops of out the draft he has luxury of knowing plenty of other schools willing to pony up the $ for him next year.

Iowa State's a rarity. Most teams have more spots than Iowa to fill and haven't added much if anything. Most of the top 100 is still unsigned. Also couple really good pg's entered just today. I'd rather be in a spot of not of signed anyone than having settled for a lesser player because of panic.

Cruz Davis (PG) in portal....he would definitely be a great fit in this offense.
It just seems weird that there is not a lot of buzz out there one way or another about any of them to Iowa. Yes, there is stuff that says Iowa is interested in them but other than that, not that much. There is a little towards McKeever, but he doesn't move the needle for me. I would rather have someone in the mold of a 6'9"-6'10" and 250-260 lbs and is more athletic than McKeever. Would love someone similar to Ed Horton/Reggie Evans type.
