Yes, self-appointed "genius" and basketball "guru" glen "doc" rivers is out as head coach for the Milwaukee Bucks, after stabbing AG in the back to take his job. "doc" never did anything to validate he was a better option than Griffin. To call glen's tenue as Bucks head coach thoroughly mediocre would be incredibly generous.

In one sense, it was very sad to see Griffin lose his one shot at a head coaching gig in the NBA to the most overrated basketball coach of all time. On the other hand, it's always great to see the most overrated basketball coach of all time fall flat on his face yet again. The only disappointment is he didn't blow yet another 3-1 series lead.

Oh, on another bright note, who is excited to see Mamu in some playoff basketball?!

Hey, we gotta find things to be happy about.....

edit: I oddly refered to AG as AD

AG was 30-13 when he got canned. I think doc went around .500 the rest of that season. Don’t know how doc continues to command big money and respect. He lucked into a chip with the Celtics after they acquired KG and Ray and has leveraged that as well as anyone in the biz

Is there any coach with a better record as an NBA coach, that got fired? I doubt it. 30-13 should be enough for other teams to give him a shot.

Not a fan of Rivers myself, but I am confused on the Doc Rivers back stabber part. Overrated coach, sure get that one. Griffin being fired a mistake by Bucks, I guess.

But how is Doc a backstabber, the Bucks hired him to replace Griffin?

Also, lots of info out their Griffin was not a good coach either, lost locker room, etc. Obviously, all rumors, but even with his great start and long coaching record, no one has hired him as a coach since he was fired.

The guy Griffin replaced won a World Championship and five division titles in five years. Maybe him?
