The Social Club is happy, they will be feeding Tenn. True fans are unhappy that the $$$ being spent on this crap show is going to waste.
In 10 days they went from a near lock for a Top 8 seed to a team that looks like it could find a way to miss the tournament.

Just look at the piss poor evaluations. Players that produce almost nothing in those 2 sports.

BOC deserves to be livid. I also hope he expresses that frustration as well. I also think he knows we came nowhere close to meeting the standard. I just don’t know if he has the horses to fix the issues.
Have to realize that baseball at State is more of an "event" with raves about the stadium, attendance records and friends and acquaintances getting together in great fellowship....screw the outcome of the games. While sarcasm may be hinted at and even detected, there's also some truth.

We're under .500 in league play with the hard half of the schedule coming up. We overpaid BOC and gave him way to much in NIL for these kind of results. Just way too many boneheaded decisions by this staff and that's directly on BOC. Reese, sigh. Not an All-American and not even a 1st rounder. He's second round, at best. Sully, shave the mustache. It's stupid. Davis, has regressed. Milewski was a waste of money. Woodson should sit. I understand slumps but not the whole effing team at the same time. There's bigger issues here. It starts at the TOP.
@Bulldog Bruce , how would you address the issues this team is having at the plate? What would you do to make the lineup churn up some more runs?

Im pretty disappointed also. And I think everyone complaining about it have the right to complain. Is it coaching ? Is it talent ? Is it effort ? Idk but its one or the other. We coulda sucked with fat boy sitting on a bucket. Im not ready to blame Oak but I dont blame anyone who does because there is definitely a problem. Say goodbye to top ten.
Are the "true" football and "true" basketball fans celebrating about the football and basketball results?
Obviously, nobody wants to lose, even if it's a sport I don't really follow. But I hope you guys don't take this the wrong way but nobody pays attention if we win 10 in a row or if we lose 10 in a row. I go to a huge church in Memphis, I play golf with a lot of different people, I work with a lot of different people and college baseball has not been uttered to me by anyone this spring (other than one other State fan I know). That's been my argument all along, people follow football and men's basketball. If we can't get our acts together there, we are on death's doorstep and being good (or bad) in college baseball will not affect that outcome.

Unfortunately we have a very limited season to right it.
If we’re hot and winning games in May and June then 17 what happened in April.
Have we put ourselves in danger of not hosting? - absolutely but we can still turn this thing around but us being a Top 8 seed is probably gone but a Top 16 seed is still doable as is getting to Omaha.
I am concerned about overall pitching even if we get McPherson back and I’m not sure that’s going to happen.
I do think our coach knows the expectations at Mississippi State and I do think he knows how to get us to that level.
MY expectation this year was Top 16 and anything beyond that was just gravy.
It is so hard to say. They definitely need to understand they are going to see a bunch of breaking balls. I would set the Moreland batting cage to throw sliders and get used to seeing it. Need to let the ball get deep in the strike zone and drive it to the opposite field.
No one should be happy with any results. We are all financing this sh*t. The difference is we demand change for baseball and allow the other 2 to flounder around in the wilderness while saying “at least baseball is in a few months”. I don’t want the enthusiasm and demand for baseball to go down. I want to raise the standard of the other 2 to that level. This sh*t is getting old in all 3 sports. No excuse for this garbage to be this prevalent in any sport, much less all 3 major ones.
