Don’t think so. I mean they were our highest drawing game besides Rutgers (drew much better), but not by that much. Will a BE without UConn be a problem for staying at the Rock?

It wasn't a problem before they joined. Will a BE without UConn be a problem for staying at the Rock?
Not in my mind. The Rock wants events and things are always fluid. We win consistently, we will draw. And pay rent. Will a BE without UConn be a problem for staying at the Rock?
They’ll want them for football, as crazy as it soundsWhich is why one of the power conferences will want Connecticut.
They will never give a damn about them without substantial football, which they will never have.Which is why one of the power conferences will want Connecticut.
Duke and Kansas were potentially on the outside looking in during last realignment. It is insane. Exactly the reason Coach K started throwing out ACC and Big East merger talk. They will never give a damn about them without substantial football, which they will never have.
They will if they truly want to get rid of the Big East. Plus it doesn't hurt their conference having a team in the Final Four every year. How many times did you see the graphic with conference representation leading up to the championship game? They will never give a damn about them without substantial football, which they will never have.
Completely NOT TRUE!They will never give a damn about them without substantial football, which they will never have.
The true measure of success for Fordham is the answer to the question "was de-emphasizing men's basketball a healthy decision for the overall health of the University?". I don't know that answer.View attachment 1251790
For those that want to ludicrously go to A-10, it would be the equivalent of lighting the basketball program on fire. A death blow.
Fordham's basketball program is a joke. Using them as a guide to a course to be taken is like driving a car off a cliff.
That was eye-opening for me. I assume the payout for MAAC schools is even lower. For the year ended 06/30/24, Seton Hall received $4,742,928 from the Big East.
For the year ended 06/30/24, the average Atlantic 10 program received $287,902
Where do I LOL??

Sure, but were we not at risk of losing the Garden for our conference tournament before they re-joined? I would imagine that could be a major risk again post 2030/31 realignment. It wasn't a problem before they joined.
Nope worry point is April of 2032...as of now ncaa deal with wbd/paramount comes to an end and big east deal with msg comes to an endSure, but were we not at risk of losing the Garden for our conference tournament before they re-joined? I would imagine that could be a major risk again post 2030/31 realignment.

Did Fordham de-emphasize basketball or just make a lot of questionable decisions? The true measure of success for Fordham is the answer to the question "was de-emphasizing men's basketball a healthy decision for the overall health of the University?". I don't know that answer.

Completely NOT TRUE!
Did you know UCONN has made a bowl game as an independent, 3 of last 4 years?
UCONN had ac1st team All American this year. Will be a high round draft pick. UCONN has nearly 10 current NFL players.
They just got a proven excellent new head coach, Jason Candke, from the best MAC program.
With big conference $$, UCONN can be a respectable football program. Not going to be Ohio State but can they be pretty good? Yes, absolutely.
MSG’s partnership with SJU seems as strong as ever, and the Big East tourneys continue to kill it from an attendance and interest perspective. So I don’t see that changing.
In fact the opposite may be true. I read somewhere that Pitino is trying to get MSG to essentially “takeover NIL” for SJU men’s
I haven't read they've had any success in getting "buy in" from MSG. I think it was discussed on the Podcast Brunson and Josh Hart do that Pitno was a guest on earlier this year.Interesting. When I asked someone at SHU who would know, Prudential gives us almost nothing back (but does employ a ton of our alums).
