Block is a 149 and Michigan has Lemley at 149 as well. So it's probably 157 for him at either place. Catrabone must be moving up haven't heard that but he's big
Block might benefit from going up, if he's interested. He seemed to gas on more than one occasion this year, and not just against SVN.

Go away from 149 where he’d be ranked #4, and go up to 157 with 8 returning AA and studs like Larkin and Cardenas returning as R12 guys? 157 is the deepest weight, 149 might be the most wide open weight. He should 100% stay 149 if he can make it.

I've wondered whether Block would be better served cutting guys loose and going for a second takedown as opposed to spending most the first period executing mat returns. Those mat returns seem to suck the life out of him.

Block has the length and strength to go up to 157. Im sure his pull to 149 is not easy and he may benefit tremendously adding some more calories and muscle.
Agree, especially if we get Zeppeda, who seems more of a natural 149. If Block makes the decision now, he can start eating and lifting and with his height and frame could be a good size 157 with a better gas tank. Guts were saying they think he is the strongest guy pfp on the team, so he must be naturally strong, but cutting weight limits your strength and muscle mass. Still can’t believe he tried 141, which was a disaster. Looked very weak.

Block looks like a contender at either weight. He’s that good and fearless. It shows on the mat. Always the aggressor. Just hits the proverbial wall. Every time. Feels like a bump in weight class could benefit him greatly. Certainly has the frame for it. Maybe he can separate himself from most the field. Again, he’s that good and his style lends to widening the gap if he’s able to stay on the accelerator.

Absolutely agree!

He is a beast. He might be the most talented guy on the team offensively going in to next year.
