  • The Terps and Rutgers will meet for the 39th time in program history and the 11th consecutive season, with the first matchup dating back to 1931. Maryland leads the all-time series 36–2 and has not lost to the Scarlet Knights in College Park since 1980.
Last season, Rutgers defeated Maryland 9–7 in Piscataway, marking the Terps' first loss to the Scarlet Knights since joining the Big Ten. Prior to that, Maryland had won 19 straight games against Rutgers dating back to 1981, outscoring the Scarlet Knights 259–169 during that span.

It would be a real shame for them to lose since it could mean finishing the season as 5 or really 6 (Michigan would owe the tiebreaker over us). Then having to go on the road for the opening round of the tourney playoffs. Likely having to play JHU or Maryland on the road and end up losing. Then watching as the other 4 teams play the remaining tourney playoff games at Rutgers.

Hoping they can pull off what the Women's team is doing right now which seems to be punching above their weight class.

Do we have our first string fogo in this game? I know he was injured in the Johns Hopkins game and we played without him against Michigan.

3-1 MD on a transition pole goal. We literally can’t get off a shot.

This is going to be a looooong night.

0-6 on FOs, and when we manage to get the ball on offense, we literally can’t get off a shot.

Our defense is going to be completely gassed by the 3rd quarter. We’re in danger of getting run out of the building.

6-1 MD now, and 8-1 on FOs. Shades of Luke Weirman dominance at the dot.

We’re not going to be able to come back in this game because of the FO situation. I hate to say it, but this game is over with 4:51 left in the first half.

One of the commentators said it best. "Rutgers is taking low-percentage shots, bad angles. They need to get more picks in to get their better players better opportunities like Kurdyla."

Worst half I can remember in a few years. We are getting completely throttled in every facet of this game.

Why not this yesar? Four straight years with no NCAA. Everyone else in the Big Ten has multiple bids since then.

Rutgers is the only conference team to never win a regular season season or big ten tourney title. It’s about time for a reset.
I dont know what his buyout is.

First time I can honestly think Brecht might be in trouble moving forward. Not this year but maybe in a year or 2.

Need Zinn to put money into the program. Build the stadium. Rutgers continues to lag behind in all metrics.

Who are the impact players? Need BIG NIL and to move past being primarily alumni funded.

But you’re right - he should be on the hot seat.

If Rutgers could’ve somehow won this game (a ridiculous notion right about now I know) there would’ve been a six way tie with every team at 2-2 in conference. Now Rutgers will be in sole possession of last place at 1-3 with a game against a state Penn team probably smarting from their loss to Michigan today. Very bleak outlook.

Another loss closer to 5th place (maybe the basement) … again … can RU succeed in any sport? We average 1 championship (regular or tourney) every 5 years.

Maryland is playing in their football stadium... I don't think this is the reason we are lagging behind.

But yeah...would love to see what could happen if this program had more $$

You can’t sugarcoat facts:

2022 - final four
2023 - 5th place in the conference no NCAA
2024 - 5th place in the conference no NCAA
2025 - 5th place in the conference no NCAA

…. And we see where this season is headed. Unfortunately BB should be every bit on the hot seat that ANY other coach at RU may also be OR you think should be at this time. Sorry.
