Hasn't coached a game yet and people are already riding him. It was a pretty short honeymoon in Blacksburg.
I'll bet he's very comfortable being judged by the enemies he's made.

Franklin was too anxious IMO to get back to coaching and took a job that isn’t going anywhere and too geographically similar/competitive with Penn State. No idea how interested if at all LSU, Florida, Arkansas, Auburn, and maybe even UCLA were in him, but think the VT effort is doomed.
Big Game can win at VT, but not at a championship level. Ordinarily that should be enough to satisfy the folks in Blacksburg, but I expect some interesting conversations to be had as he goes into the final two years of his contract.
I disagree. VT is the perfect fit for him. The expectations aren’t quite as high and he is still sitting in the middle of his recruiting hotbed. He will do fine there. Let’s just hope PSU does even better, so that we can stop having these threads that feel like a jealous ex boyfriend’s perspective.

I just laugh every time i hear this salesman mention with Franklin. It’s meaningless.
Classy. I was mistaken to attribute the slurs spat at Franklin's family (in Beaver) as alcohol fueled. But, as one frequents here, it's apparently who "We Are."

I see little reason to follow the coming season of "college" football, but if Va Tech wins more than PSU, it would be at least somewhat entertaining.
