Not having Ratiu in the lineup is a big blow because it takes a lineup where each player is already 1-2 spots too high against good teams and makes that 1 spot worse obviously.

We had our chances. Wright at #6 had a point to win his match, I think 2 chances but maybe just on a 40-40 point. And Xu served for his match. Get those 2 and we win.

not taking anything away from the guys, they are definitely short handed without Ratiu. Pretty successful weekend with a great win over Stanford.

Heels dropped doubles but lead SMU 3-2 with 2 matches in the 3rd set, win will put us in the low 40s in ranking, loss in the low 60s.

Does this team have any good recruits coming in next year. This is a shame for the past two years we cannot seem to get a true number 1 players and some other top notch players like our women's team. I just do not understand it. Is it NIL money? What seems to be the problem? We have a top notch facilities now.

I have always wondered if the results would be different with Brian coaching them.

The next coach might not be better but at least there is hope for different results.

Head coach has been a deterrent rather than an asset for years, both in terms of results and recruiting.

Down 2-3, needing both 3rd set matches against a bad VT team we swept earlier this year, would be another bad loss

Yikes. I expected to be winning more doubles points this year

We did so well in those Fall tournaments (especially in doubles), it was very reasonable to expect better dual results than we’ve had. There’ve been many super-close matches so probably some bad luck too.

I know there is a good recruiting class coming in but the program has been stagnant for a while now.

On cue, we get the doubles point when it’s very unlikely to matter against the number 2 team in the country. In matches where it was probably the difference between winning and losing (Cal, SMU, VT) we don’t get it.

As of today's rankings we would be the last team in the field. Big weekend coming up with the Florida swing, 2 other teams riding around the bubble line

Dropped doubles but won 4 first sets against Miami. Need to get these types of matches done

Big 5 minutes as we win on courts 1, 3, and 6.

Ratiu forces a 3rd set on 4. Djakouris up a set but down a break in the 2nd.

Pretty huge match today to close the regular season against Duke, win and in really good position for NCAAs pending any bid thief’s, lose and probably need to win some ACCT matches or else risk being out

Got pretty well smoked unfortunately. Lost two doubles games 6-1. Then dook took three straight set singles points. Djakouris won (as usual) and Ratiu and Schinnerer were up in 3rd sets, so it wasn’t a whitewash or anything, but we needed tha doubles point, as is often the case.

Not a good showing, and against a Duke team that’s even more subpar than Carolina. Been time for a change at the top of the program for a LONG time.

Yeah is that time. We need to go ahead do it. The same way that we did HD. Enough is enough. The mediocracy has to stop.
