Today I received the notice for Seton Hall Giving Day. I am very tough on the school, administration, program, and staff. Having said that, I will be donating to the Men's Basketball fund.
The school offered Clark $2.5M and he refused it. Word now on instagram from a college insider is that Hines is asking for $5M.
I cannot confirm the Hines ask but I 100% know the Clark offer was legit. So those that continue to laugh at the Hall, criticize Holloway and the administration maybe might want to digest the above.
Those that give are trying to help. Those that laugh at them, maybe you might want into a mirror.
Go hang out with the boosters then. Pretty soon all 200 of you will be the only people in the arena. You’re so much better than us.I posted multiple times every single day on the Trove. Posting here for likes of you wasn't worth my time.
I proved your point? That you think you’re better than everybody and unless you donate your life and time to SHU you aren’t worthy as a fan? Coming across quite pompous this morning Dan.Thanks for proving my point. Us 200 do more in one day to help the school than you will do in a lifetime.
Where did I say anything that he hasn’t done a ton for the program? That was not my point at all.HallGuy2323,
I hope you are not a graduate of Seton Hall as your comments are an embarrassment. In time, I hope you have some maturity and grow up to be as good as a person that Dan has been to the school. When he departs from this site on April 15, except for occasional posts, he will be greatly missed for his insights and information on his posts.
But your overall tone is to act like Dan is part of some big Seton Hall conspiracy to deceive and defraud you, selectively withholding information from you or otherwise attempting to mislead you. Why? He’s just a fan like we are, but he happens to be heavily involved with this message board, which is totally independent of Seton Hall? He only knows what he knows at any given time.Where did I say anything that he hasn’t done a ton for the program? That was not my point at all.

I think its total crap . Sha took a no star no name out of the portal and molded him into a elite PG despite the fact he cant shoot the 3I’m not arguing or criticizing..legit asking questions
I heard we offered “around 2” with the idea we could go up a little
And the 2.5 number was thrown back with an idea that he wanted to give a very high number because he wasn’t totally thrilled with the idea of coming back here anyway..almost like our nil offers are given a surcharge because of kids not being thrilled coming..that’s the idea I’m hearing, a little, from people I talk to
What do you think of this
I mean #1 he’s not eliteI think its total crap . Sha took a no star no name out of the portal and molded him into a elite PG despite the fact he cant shoot the 3
Where is the gratitude?
The post asked what do we thinkI mean #1 he’s not elite
#2 what you think is irrelevant, no offense
#3 id bet lots of money he doesn’t think like that at all
No it didn’tThe post asked what do we think
Hit the ignore button if you want to pretend everything is great and perfect and are afraid of legit conversation about the program. I won’t allow somebody to tell me how to be a fan. There are two or three posters that make this site miserable. Flamers or just really negative people? I don’t know but you know who you are. Please try adding something beneficial to the board and other posters instead of being such jerks. Thank you.
Great idea. DoneHit the ignore button if you want to pretend everything is great and perfect and are afraid of legit conversation about the program. I won’t allow somebody to tell me how to be a fan.

Do you happen to know if Clark's camp came back with a counter-proposal, or was it like we made the 2.5 million offer, Clark rejected it, and that was that with no further communication? The school offered Clark $2.5M and he refused it. I didn’t name names so I guess you called yourself out. You do know who you are. Thanks for confirming.Hit the ignore button if you want to pretend everything is great and perfect and are afraid of legit conversation about the program. I won’t allow somebody to tell me how to be a fan.
What was his portal ranking?Huh? Clark wasn't bad at all at his former school. The fact that he didn't develop a consistent jumper this season is disturbing. Besides, let Clark go. Point guards that are 5'8," with no consistent jumpshot, are a dime a dozen.
Agreed on your last point, but the truth lies somewhere in the middle here.I think its total crap . Sha took a no star no name out of the portal and molded him into a elite PG despite the fact he cant shoot the 3

Clark was not a “no name, no star” when we got him. He was considered a really good portal get, and one of our two incoming players last year that excited people (with Hines). He was top 25 in the country in scoring as a sophomore at Merrimack and top 5 in steals. First team all league, and newcomer of the year as a freshman.
He wasn’t an elite college PG last year, but a very good one who was second team all league jumping up a level. No doubt Sha helped him make that jump, but this wasn’t getting a kid who did nothing and the all of a sudden he comes a huge star overnight.
You would think there would be some recognition by Clark in Sha undoubtedly helping him jump a level, but clearly not enough to stay. Or at least not enough to make the kid think he should stay.
Evan Miya had him as a 4-star transfer at number 154 last off-season and currently has him as a 4-star transfer at number 65 this off-season.What was his portal ranking?

I’m not saying that’s 100% just the version of the story I heardAny idea why he wasn’t thrilled with coming back and whats the deal with the surcharge - kids don’t wanna play for Sha or another issue?
Sha is tough to play for - then again so are guys like Hurley and Pitino. I’m guessing you can’t elaborate.
I heard we “had a deal” with Clark to return, and then his agent shopped it around and he decided to enter tn portal.Do you happen to know if Clark's camp came back with a counter-proposal, or was it like we made the 2.5 million offer, Clark rejected it, and that was that with no further communication?
I certainly realize there are limits to sources and information, I'm just trying to get a clearer picture of how this all broke down. Thanks.
