It sounds like CMP is just throwing stuff on the wall to see what sticks. It’s frustrating. Is this the plan? Running two PGs? You have a system. Or you had one. Why aren’t you running it? It got you decent results the first year.

!!! Amazing pure PG, but has played just 31 games in the past 2 seasons. Coming off of a foot surgery in February and as a smaller guard that relies on quickness and change of direction, definitely a huge gamble.

The pressure of the UK job to hurry up and win combined with the NIL doesn't allow for establising anything over time. Calipari absolutely ruined the fanbase with his first five years and the winning big from day 1.

If he can’t win at UK after year 3 with the NIL we have, I’m having trouble understanding the point of keeping CMP around. We’ve been a middle of the pack SEC team for the last two seasons. Do it a third and what makes you think things will turn around? Even worse, what if he goes into the end of year 3 without any high school recruits again?

there's a range between winning the title and getting blown out in the 2nd round. no one is saying Pope has to win the title right now but he has to show he can field a team that is capable
Unless Wright and Stokes are in the bag it’s already starting to look exactly like last season without quite as many exciting options so far.
Pope has learned his lesson on PGs, he is selling these guys on the fact he is bringing in 2 starter quality PGs who will play together a lot as well. Dedan didn’t like that which is why he’s heading to Houston. We need Diallo/Wright and one more, if we can somehow land both that’d be a start to something special.
I can totally agree with that after all our injuries but it's going to be hard to convince these top recruits to share when they can go somewhere else and get all the playing time.

Jesus your posts get dumber by the day. If you aren’t winning big by year 2, no later than year 3, in the current climate then there’s absolutely no reason that coach should be kept. The last two title winning coaches won their first title just a couple years after getting there. This isn’t 1988 anymore.
How many portal guys do you think will be signed?
It seems like they have been initially focused on trying to figure out the starting point guard as well as reserve money for Stokes just in case. Both of these things have caused a delay in recruiting the rest of the roster.
