Love her game! Athletic and strong offensively and moves her feet exceptionally well. Plays longer than her 6’1” HT due to her long arms, mobility and leaping ability. Posts up really good and does her best work in the lane on offense and defense. Keeps her head up while handling the ball off the dribble and on the pass and she cuts nicely to create space. Her game against Iowa St caught me by surprise during the season when I watched to see Audi play and she stole the show.

I would put her at the four. Keep CT at the 5 but have CT be a stretch 5. She will help develop NB at the four. Welcome to the family, Akot. Go Heels!

IMHO, 5 on Offense and 4 on Defense - Toomey will do the opposite
Yes, pretty much what we did with Harris and Toomey this year. Toomey in the corner for threes on the offense stretching the D. And Akon posting up, gathering offensive rebounds.

On defense Toomey gets the bigger, slower assignment, Akot the more versatile, athletic assignment.

Her rim running, handle, athleticism, height/build, and post moves actually remind me more of Ustby than Harris. A short post player who can play big with her jump and reach. High tenacity. Solid offensive rebounder. But like Harris she is not a 3pt shooter at all. She is not going to stretch to the 3 spot offensively nor stand in the corner as a 3pt threat. She is a driver.

I don’t have any feel for her defense yet, but her blocks, steals and defensive rebounds do not approach Ustby statistically, so Harris may be a better comp there.

I was thinking the same thing about the Utsby comp. She attacks the rim with assertiveness and pace and is strong. Good rebounding, assist, and steals numbers and only averaged 26mins/game last year so should climb with increased time and usage. She’s dynamic; going a lot of fun to watch.

Nice pick-up for CB and the staff, which is more than probably Henderson could have provided next year. But one thing that keeps on the edge with this team, is that we lost three of our best FT's shooters. What is Akot FT percentage over her career, and hopefully the rest of the players will improve over last year's performance.

73% this year. Up from 63% and 67% in first two years.
