I don’t understand why that’s even allowed to happen. A player shouldn’t be allowed to transfer that much
I don’t see how the colleges can continue to do this and win the argument these athletes are not employees. There is no way to argue this is a student progressing towards a degree. Credits won’t transfer (legitimately) and most universities require 60 credit hours at their university for transfer students to get a degree.

It is not the problem of the athlete but the universities who continue to sell themselves out for the athletic department.

Oh 100%, though this guy would be an immediate impact player for UK, likely SEC POY, averaged 23 and 5 last season.

Don’t disagree but if this is to continue the athletic departments are eventually going to break away from the colleges, pay a fee for the name and then it will finally be recognized as what it is—minor league basketball/football trying to survive by masquerading behind some loose college affiliate.

According to 24-7 this morning, #5 ranked player in the portal, was really hoping we would get him.
Great scorer, but hasn’t translated to any success anywhere he’s been. He is the worst example of players today imo. Everyone wants money obviously but he’s a pure merc.

His stats were that high because he jacked up a crazy 18 attempts per game and dominates the ball on every possession. And then he jumps to a new team at the end of every season.

His game personifies “me” over “team.” Which is why his teams never win squat.

He may be a volume shooter, but he was pretty efficient with that volume. He’s always shooting about 47% from the field and mid 30s from 3. Also on the Memphis team that went 29-6 just last season. So he isn’t some me first gunner like some are trying to portray.

We’ll see how he does with Bucky Ball.
