Yea but the point of the rtc is to help develop your team
The point of the RTC is to give senior athletes the chance to keep competing and make world teams after graduation, any other mindset towards building an RTC is a losing one. If you have a good rtc that alone will attract higher end recruits and in turn help the college team but it’s definitely not there just to help the college kids.

No they don’t, it’s probably on par with ours. We also have Labriola in the room who’s more accomplished than any guy in their RTC and is at a similar weight to Lewis. Obviously there are reasons why he chose to go there and I don’t know what they are but let’s not pretend like the Princeton RTC is some illustrious place that ours isn’t.
32 year old Nate Jackson would 10-0 everyone associated with the SKWC including Labriola

Labs and no one else on Rutgers staff has any freestyle credentials outside of Sasso.

Sadly outside of the New England RTC which Brown tried to start a few years back we have the worst RTC in the country. We need to hire a guy like McKenna or someone on that level to run the RTC if we re really serious about getting to the next level.

Do any insiders know how much Sasso has been around since his hiring was announced? IMO he’s the only draw on the coaching staff when it comes to recruiting high ranking guys.

Go to the UsaW website and look at the list of RTCs Rutgers is nowhere near the worst.

Rumor that B1G coaches want to change RTC eligibility rules to require Prospective Student Athletes to live within a 50 mile radius of the RTC to be eligible to practice there. Current USAW eligibility rule is 250 miles from campus.

"Lastly, more news trickling out of the Big 10 meeting indicates that coaches are looking to enforce a rule: no high school kids in RTCs unless they live within 50 miles. The coaches approved it; now it will move up the chain. You would be surprised who suggested it, and surprisingly, all the big RTC teams agreed. They spend a ton of time and big dollars with little return."

50 miles seems kind of tight. Barnegat is over 50 miles from Rutgers so if Dean Peterson was still living in his home town he wouldn’t be allowed to train at Rutgers if he were ever hired in that role.

50 miles or the closest RTC . so if say the nyc RTC is 48 miles from you , you can’t go past that to go to the Penn state RTC .so in deans case in barnaget if the SKWC was the closest RTC then he’d be able to go even if over 50 miles as long as it’s the closest one to his address

They want to eliminate RTCs and go with a sports club model which is 50 miles. The big 10 obviously has pull so the long term goal is the NCAA makes it a rule to eliminate RTCs .
