I don’t want to be downer but this all just feels like one step forward two steps back.
Right now it feels like we’re fighting to build a roster that could reach last years level instead of adding the pieces needed to take a step forward.

Hopefully we add that decommit Jones or something

It felt the same way three years ago when KTW & Adams left, plus Tshitenge retired . Then we landed Gakdeng, Donarski and Nivar. Even trade at worst.

That is hard to do consistently of course in these short transfer recruiting seasons with only above average money to spend. But lest see how it plays out.

This is why the top brass at UNC is going to have to help CB and Staff with money. You cannot expect a coach to go deep in the NCAAT but you don't give her the resources needed to advance deep in the NCAAT. Then you look at Duke and their AD and top brass is giving Kara the resources to bring top elite talent in to make a deep run. We are doing it for Men's football, basketball, and baseball but for some reason CB has to beg, plead, and fight to get help. I just do not understand why the top brass does not want to help her advance further. Can we get Michael Jordan or someone to give a donation of $500,000 to help with NIL money or any other big time donations.

Akot commits as well. Front court now consist of Akot (who will average a double, double here), Toomey, Thomas, and Bofia. Throw in Taissa too in the tweener.
feels like Toomey is on the verge of breaking out. She's shown flashes but she has a boatload of talent just bursting at the seams. Her taking that next step could really propel this team

I expect a big year out of CT next season. This year was a confidence building year for her since she had not been 100% healthy for at least 3 years (senior year in high school and the first 2 years of college). She showed us flashes of what she is capable of. Her rhythm, timing. conditioning, etc. was back. She should really be excited for next year because all of the hard work did pay off last year. Now, she needs to continue to put the work in this off season even more. She needs to find her weaknesses for this year and work on them over the summer. Her mother is a coach, so I would look at film with her and CB to get an idea of what those weaknesses are and I would fix them. IMO, you can always work on dribbling and shooting, continue to get stronger, etc.

Agreed - like I said in another post, I would like to see her prepare for the 4 on Offense and the 5 on Defense

I think CT can be a stretch 5. Have her play on the outside on the offensive end. This will cause the opposing 5 to have to play on the perimeter. Can you image the driving lanes that will be created for the PG's and CG's.
