This whole thing has me nerding out. I’ve noticed the younger generations don’t seem to care as much. Excited to see the capsule splash down. About an hour before sunset off the West coast on a Friday night. Should get plenty of eyeballs.

its definitely cool. We just live in an age where so many cool things happen, its information overload. People are numb to lots of amazing things. Plus its not as cool as landing on the moon.

I wasn't alive for the original Apollo missions, but I'd also wager that people didn't care near as much about later ones. A been there, done that type thing.

Anyone think they could strap onto a rocket and be like “yeah shoot me further into outer space than anyone has ever been, I totally trust everyone that I’ll get back”????
Would be a rough ask for me, admittedly. The astronauts are all freaking awesome in my book.

I enjoy watching the skies and seeing the satellites constantly going over. Your eyes have to adjust and know what to look for to see the duller ones. There are a couple live satellite trackers I use to help find them. It seems there are more of the bright trains of starlinks early in the mornings before sunrise. Those are fun to see.

Imagine if one simple calculation was off... we can't go lasso them them and bring them home... just wave as they scream on by

Incredible experience all around! It was so cool and refreshing to see some of our best and brightest do their thing, while seeming to be great people on top of that.

I remember some of the Apollo mission in 1968 I believe it was Apollo 8 through 1972 with Apollo 17, by then it was becoming uninspiring the same old stuff
