I love this team, but they seem to strike out a lot. Would be nice to land more good position players from HS so we won't have to rely on hitting on all of our evaluations in the portal.

Question? When we where down 2 to 1 and he out Seagraves in why not put in Glauber ? If he comes in and holds them 5 runs is enough. JW ?
We have our best relievers available for the next two games as well as two good starters. No reason we still can’t win the series.
Then don’t say such silly things. This was Knaak’s best outing of the year, we had very uncharacteristic defensive errors, and some pretty untimely hitting. One loss doesn’t change how good we are. GT lost to a pretty awful Pitt team a few weeks ago. Losses like this happen. Flush it and get ready for tomorrow.
People obviously haven’t played or seen enough baseball to understand that it’s not like basketball or football. You can be the best team in the country and lose plenty of games. A lot has to go right in baseball for you to win. It’s a long season and things always aren’t going to go your way. Yes this team has to get better, but the whole body of work speaks for itself. Living and dying with every pitch is not going to make your watching experience fun. Games are long and seasons are long. We could get swept this weekend and still be fine. Let’s all relax.
Absolutely! I can’t imagine us making so many very uncharacteristic defensive errors again tomorrow. I want to see the Ryan Lynch who beat Oklahoma last year tomorrow.
Nights like tonight remind me of just how amazing it felt to have Jake Knapp as our Friday starter last year.

Everyone on here has Carolina Blue glasses on including me. I love watching ESPN app and all the college baseball games on. We have a good team. We are #6 in the nation at this moment as you confirmed. I just see a lot of stronger teams out there.
My opinion is this UNC team isn't as strong as past years. Sorry if I upset you.

Wash from the memory, get ready for tomorrow. More than just about any game BB is pitch to pitch, inning to inning.
Coach feels like most of us do. This team has to be better. No sugar coating it.
My takeaways:
- Cannot have 16 Ks and expect to win. Don’t care how good your pitching and defense is
- Decaro has to step up. I know he has been sick but this is multiple outings where he has struggled. We wont make it far in the postseason if our “ace” continually struggles early in games and cannot lengthen out
- Do we even use the Trajekt? You would think with facing someone like Knaak, our hitters would be getting multiple ABs against him getting comfortable with his changeup. We looked like we had never seen it before tonight.
- If we want to make it to Omaha, some other BP arms have to become more reliable. After Globe, Duff, Matty, and Rose it gets sketchy at best. With our starting pitching becoming questionable our BP will be more taxed

Our pitching was supposed to be great it's been good to above average with some great pitching thrown in but it's no where near as good as it was supposed to be and the number of times this team strikes out is mind boggling. We have definitely played our weak park of the ACC schedule ( Clemson has been pretty bad themselves) but Ga tech , Dook , Pitt and state are definitely better combined than the early ACC slate we have played. Let's see what happens today but saying Decaro has been disappointing without putting Lynch and Boaz in there as well. You could replace Decaro with one of those guys but what have they done to earn it ?
We are borderline top 25 don't care what the rankings say. We will not make Omaha mark it down. Excuses will be flying around, but thats just what fans do.
I think that’s the bright side of the year, honestly. We’ve not been great, and have not played a complete game to date. There’s right much potential if and when everything clicks.
if anyone gets replaced in the rotation it won’t be Decaro nor lynch. We’ve lost 6 ball games and 1 series all year, while at the same time not really being the best versions of our selves.
Everything has to be on the table. We are struggling on Friday nights in the ACC (and by Friday nights I mean “game 1” of the series, some are played on Thursdays).

What qualifies as a mind boggling strike out rate? Unc is at about 21% per AB. Ga. Tech is about 23%, and FSU is at 27%.
