Derek Anderson
Keith Bogans
Koby Brea
Joe Crawford
Tony Delk
Gerald Fitch
Kellen Grady
Tyler Herro
Doron Lamb
Jodi Meeks
Malik Monk
Otega Oweh
Immanuel Quickley
Antonio Reeves
Jeff Shepherd

(I did not count guys like Bledsoe and Murray because I always felt they were really point guards that were playing the 2 beside another better point guard. But if you wanna throw them in there feel free. Feel like you can make a stronger case for Murray than Bled because Murray was more of a combo guard)

Mostly i’m curious where everyone would rank Oweh

Otega Oweh 22.8
Jodi Meeks 27.6
Antonio Reeves 25.7
Malik Monk 19.8
Joe Crawford 21.3
Gerald Fitch 21.8
Doron Lamb 17.6
Immanuel Quickley 19.5
Tyler Herro 17.2
Kellen Grady 13.8
Koby Brea 16.6

How unusual to have left off not one but two Kentucky shooting guards named Sheppard -- one of whom was MOP of the 1998 NCAA Tournament championship for the winning team and one of whom scored three points in his final Kentucky game in a first round loss to Oakland of the Horizon League that ended his coach's Kentucky career.

Based on what they did at Kentucky, Jeff top three, Reed bottom three.

Beyond the Sheppards, I'd rank as top five Delk, Anderson, Lamb, Meeks, and Oweh.

I definitely forgot shepherd. I was thinking about him as i was typing it and just didn’t put his name down. I’ll edit him in. And honestly Reed is so low on the list i didn’t bother. Kind of like BJ Boston, Rashaad Carruth etc.

Tony Delk, all day, every day.

Delk felt like the easy #1 to me as well. After that I was leaning Bogans but I like all of Reeves, DA, Oweh and Monk a lot.

Probably stick with Bogans because he was here 4 years. Then go DA, Oweh, Monk and Reeves. Just think Monk was such an unbelievable scorer for us. Put up nearly 20 a game and that was with DeAaron Fox in the back court with him to carry some of the load.

Delk
Bogans
Anderson
Oweh
Monk
Reeves

Reed’s per 40 mpg stats would have been like 17.5 pts - 7 assists - 3.5 steals on better than 50% shooting on 3’s and 2’s. He’s not in the conversation for best but he was better than 2 or 3 guys on your list. And light years better than Boston or Carruth.

Grady. I’d probably have him above Grady and that’s it.

He was also a traffic cone on defense. The steals somewhat make up for that. As does his overall efficiency on offense

But who else are we putting him ahead of? Brea maybe? I feel like they’d be pretty close but Brea not pissing down his leg in the first round and leading us in scoring in the 2nd round gives him the tie breaker imo.

We might as well rank Cameron Mills, Allen Edwards, Richie Farmer, Davion Mintz and Julius Mays too. Maybe Goodwin…he played a lot of point for us though as Ryan Harrow was in and out of the lineup all season.

He’d be above Brea, Grady, Crawford and Herro for me. But just my opinion. And yes he wasn’t a great defender but his steal rate was elite and some of those other guys had great shot blockers to cover some of their mistakes. I’d also have Murray on the list somewhere. He was a 2 in college. Maxey was more of a 2 as well.
