They have the money. Insurance Companies own downtown buildings all over the country.

Same as most Fortune-500 corporations do to keep their respective cities growing, building Luminariums, new soccer stadium, Performing arts like Steelhouse,etc. Nothing compared to what Creighton has spent in the last 25 years so why does progress downtown upset you. I haven't been on Creightons campus in 50 years but I love driving by it.
It is what all cities do to keep people home and contribute.

Yeah I feel like Omaha has an actual skyline now. If the most prominent building now is penis-shaped, so be it. About 4 or 5 more similar sized buildings would really fill the skyline out.
