We played her in volleyball. She was good but she was all Ingomar had. Good teams could adjust defensively and force sets away from her. 2A teams couldn't, so she dominated and put up unreal stats. I imagine it was that way in basketball as well. She had to have averaged 30+ points playing at Ingomar. My goodness.
I am all for MSU teams being comprised of the best players we could land, regardless of skin color.I doubt we do. Neither our girl’s or guy’s basketball teams have a single white player. That’s a shame. Macie’s coach is retiring. Using the portal would be a great opportunity to redo our roster and establish a more welcoming culture to include white players. Not only for the girl’s but the guys too. Macie and the white girl from Tish county, Meg Moore, who will be an 11th grader next year, would be great to have together one day. Meg Moore is the best girl to come out of our state in a long time.
You don't want our women's teams to focus on attractiveness at all?** At least for the benefit of the student fans?I am all for MSU teams being comprised of the best players we could land, regardless of skin color.
Merit over race. I cant believe I actually had to type that out in a response.
I doubt we do. Neither our girl’s or guy’s basketball teams have a single white player.
Being more concerned about having certain races instead of just wanting the best player possible sounds a lot like DEI. Pretty obvious you are much more left leaning than I gave you credit for. Give me an all white women’s team since I’m a white guy and hey, I like white women enough to marry one. I’m not attracted to men, so who cares what our QB looks like. I’ll take one black as night or white as snow if he can ball out."Where da whyte wimmin at?"
But can we let the dittoheads talk MSU football for a minute - which is the only sport that matters:
"I think what we got here is a social concern. SPS is very desirous that a white quarterback to well. But it's gotta be a world class white guy - not the Will Rogers/Nick Fitzgerald type white quarterback guy."
Let's take a poll:
Would you rather have a women's basketball team full of talented white women or talented white quarterback leading the football team.

That's cool. I actually watched an interview with Lani and her mom after she committed last year. Her mom was their coach. Both mom and daughters seem very driven and competitive. Mom made that school a State contender very quickly. Hope they're athletic enough for the SEC. Should have all the other tools.
That said, if Sam doesn't find a quality big and a quality PG, I don't think it matters much.
Did you bring this up just so you could talk about race? I’m surprised you aren’t mad at WBB since it loses money.I doubt we do. UCLA national championship team would like a word . . . . . .I am all for MSU teams being comprised of the best players we could land, regardless of skin color.

The foreign white guy just entered the portal- so I don’t consider him on the team anymore. The girl is committed but she’s not on the team yet.Why type something that's wrong when it would take you 2 minutes to search and find that we had a white girl committed and a white guy played for us this season?
I'm so glad your going down this road so it's more obvious how wrong and kinda just plain weird you are.
We didn’t recruit Macie. Your assumption is actually the opposite.Being more concerned about having certain races instead of just wanting the best player possible sounds a lot like DEI. Pretty obvious you are much more left leaning than I gave you credit for. My bad on that.

To a very few here, everything it seems.what's race got to do with anything on here?
It’s doesn’t except for him.what's race got to do with anything on here?
This is a good start. Maybe he’s trying to change the culture to land Meg Moore. I’ll tell this much for sure- Caroline Bradley had Ole Miss in her top 10, and then marked them off because of the culture- non-white and lesbian.

I doubt this person actually has a problem with "non-white and lesbian" culture or she wouldn't be looking to play college basketball in the first place. This is a good start. The issue isn’t whether the player has a “problem with non white and lesbian culture.” The issue is that some women’s basketball programs have developed a very specific team culture that is overwhelmingly lesbian, and that culture can be openly unwelcoming- or at least uncomfortable to straight/heterosexual players. This isn’t speculation. Players in the past have ruled out certain programs because they didn’t want to walk into a locker room where they felt like the odd one out- or where the social dynamic was clearly centered around lesbian relationships and identity. It becomes a real recruiting disadvantage when a top heterosexual talent looks at the roster, the coaching staff dynamics, and the off court culture and decides- “I don’t want to deal with that for four years.” Same goes to a degree if all one race as well. Then it’s even worse when it’s all one race plus lesbian culture as well.I doubt this person actually has a problem with "non-white and lesbian" culture or she wouldn't be looking to play college basketball in the first place.
Are you like 75 years old? There is not a true sentence in your entire post, not in 2026.The issue isn’t whether the player has a “problem with non white and lesbian culture.” The issue is that some women’s basketball programs have developed a very specific team culture that is overwhelmingly lesbian, and that culture can be openly unwelcoming- or at least uncomfortable to straight/heterosexual players. Men’s sports don’t have this particular dynamic to the same degree to have to deal with.
Do you take the same position on enrollment and scholarship opportunities?I am all for MSU teams being comprised of the best players we could land, regardless of skin color.
