The news who published anything regarded the downed pilots are traitors to the American public

That act of publishing any information put the pilots at risk just to get a scoop on a story

This Trump hate needs to stop because every person who focuses on TDS and Trump Hate doesn’t make America safer or the person spewing venom

That hate speech directed at Trump is a direct message. Of HATE AGAINST AMERICA

Wrong again, Palmetto. Hate speech against Cheeto Pedo is a logical consequence of his unhinged rantings and equally unhinged actions. Cheeto Pedo's plan to commit yet more war crimes on Tuesday (don't forget that the double tap strike on a Venezuelan speed boat was without question a war crime) is just more evidence that Vance and the Cabinet need to step in and invoke the 25th Amendment.

As for the downed pilots, I am (like every other American) very glad to hear they were rescued. But the downing of their plane)s) was newsworthy by any standard. I saw no details in those reports other than the fact that the plane or planes was/were downed. No names, no locations, nothing. I know it is SOP for Trump Cultists to roll out the "T" word (i.e., "traitor") at every opportunity and try to affix it to anyone with whom they disagree, but you should resist that Trumpian impulse. It's reminiscent of the boy who cried "wolf," not to mention an exercise in self-parody. Kind of like the repeated use of ALL CAPS. 🐘🤡 :cool:

I disagree. I very much so do not like trump and most of his administration and they have earned that. I love my country (part of my dislike of trump is because I love my country).

So you think it was OK to leak the pilots were still in Iran which then had Iran hunting the guy instead of being uninformed and ignorant

Uh, your boy, the Fuhrer, has aligned himself with Russia and North Korea (soon, it will be China, too). Pretty sure he's a clear traitor to America himself. They're going to 25th Amendment his fat arse soon enough. Everyone's had enough of him, and doesn't want to see him destroy America anymore than he already has.

How in the world do you keep a lid on something like that?! War is messy, and it is not conducted in a news blackout or vacuum. When a U.S. jet plane gets shot down over enemy territory and one of the two pilots is missing, that is HUGE news. No one wanted that Colonel (who was apparently a "backseater" and whose name and condition we still don't know much about) killed or captured. Believe me when I say that I am very happy he was rescued.

What makes you think they were uniformed and ignorant? I mean, your eyes could tell you if there were parachutes. You know what is ignorant? Thinking your enemy gets its tactical intel from western news outlets.

True, but. You can't assume that the enemy has a complete picuture. He does not know what you know. He is guessing too.

I'm not versed in the details of this particuar media leak, but, when we're poundign the hell out of enemy command and control and means of communication, open source news reporting can take on greater and greater significance as a source of intelligence.

In this case maybe we were injecting information that the pilot had been recovered and maybe other bits that point to a locaiton other than where the pilot was. We probably had things moving or other activities to match that "false" information. Media reporting of 'real' information that is contrary to that (false) picuture that we are trying to put into the enemies head reduces the enemy's confidence in the picuture that we want them to have and increases risk because they will more strongly hedge their bets.

It wasn't the pilot. Get your **** together.

Regardless, Iran shot the jet down. They knew "the guy" was there ... they were "hunting" him immediately after the jet was shot down. The "leak" did absolutely nothing to affect this.

Other than being completely wrong, per usual, good job.

not to be non subtle, but when it was reported it was an F15E that was shot down, a fifth grader could Google and find out the aircraft carries a pilot and a WSO

The first "quote" was an amalgamation of the MAGAt rallying cry, followed by the second "quote," which was an accurate synopsis of what you actually said, when you were trying to argue that the media was under an obligation to lie on behalf of the federal government so we could trick our enemies.
