Thanks, I figure he would be considered to replace Telford. Seems like a Brands type hire.
Hypothetically speaking if there was an offer that went out then who might have received it?
Are they going to just wait for when a press conference comes around like Kirk does to announce, or are they actually going to be proactive and just put out a graphic on twitter. Guess we’ll see.
Kirk has like 30 coaches so that doesn’t concern me. I’d expect this one to be done much sooner.
FWIW, I checked his Instagram. Noticed he's "following" Iowa wrestling related accounts. Not true for other programs (I didn't search them all, but tried several and found no results).

Isn’t he from the east coast? I bet he never leaves the east unless he gets an offer he can’t refuse to be a head coach some day like Taylor. I bet he ends up Cornell head coach, like Sanderson at ISU, briefly.
He's incredibly loyal to Cornell and Grey. Had he listened to me he'd still be competing, but in Stillwater.
I imagine Kemerer and Spencer are in the Pipeline for Iowa. I am not sure how you can argue with that. First step should be to get Kemerer back from Minnie asap.
I was told (by someone who does not like Tom) that Kem won't coach with Tom or Terry. Take it with a grain of salt though. He just said there is bad blood.
I absolutely love Yianni, and think he would be a phenomenal addition to any staff. That being said, I believe we're looking for someone a bit heavier to round out the staff.

He's a great person, has a high wrestling IQ and does really well with relationships. He's been a big part of the team, even while competing.
I have been thinking he wasn't one of the guys shunned by Brands. But I could be wrong and maybe that changed.

That wasn’t true. No conversations were had until after NCAAs as that was the focus.
I don’t think this is entirely true. Yes we are losing a former hwt as the coach but I don’t believe that’s necessarily what they are replacing him with.
Well I don't know about any bad blood or who's fault it was, Kem, Tom or Terry, but they collectively **** the bed in his NCAA Finals match against Starocci.
Michael Kemerer was the best wrestler in that weight that year and didn't win a NCAA Title. That's a crime that still pisses me off to this day.
