Sounds like he's graduating, probably doesn't qualify for another year, and just wants to move on regardless.

This is not a big deal, from what Richie said on today’s pod it sounds like he’s gone, but Ware is missing and not on either list. Technically he is still here.
Great news. Bring in as many older accomplished players as possible. Staff is very active in the portal. Let's see who they can nab.

You have to think out of the below list that are technically here now, more will not be here next year. I am sure someone else or muliple of them are yet to enter the portal out of the remaining (not Wooten of course). My best bets of guys who will be added to the gone list are Grant, Ware, and either Mark or Davis or even both.

Interesting, my understanding is Buchanan is one of the solid ones expected to be here next year, but we’ll see. These things can turn at any moment. Check out Richie, Mike, Alex latest pod as they cover the topic of staying and going:

Fall, Badalau, Ware, Jones: That's probably $800k spent on near zero production.
Fill the back end of the roster with walkons/just scholarships and spend that money on a better center or any other starter.

If we need to rely on the backend of the roster, we're screwed anyway.
There isnt going to be some savior making $200k at the end of the bench.

Ware has to be first. There would be no reason for him to stick around if he couldn’t earn a minute of playing time this past season at center.
Yeah, I considered that too. The only reason I put him second is that we currently have no center, no backup center, and no third string center.
I think Buchanan stays. I think him and Francis are the only sort of definitive likely returnees.
Powers and JMIke also possible returnees.

The guys who feel like they are staying for sure are Francis and Buchanan for sure. After that, maybe Powers, maybe Davis, maybe Mark, but in all honesty beyond Francis and Buchanan, who knows how many go. I expected a lot to leave and it certainly looks like that’s where we are headed. I will not be shocked if we only have 4 returning players who played last year.
The issue with some guys, like Grant and Ware for example, is what can they expect to earn elsewhere in terms of money and playing time? We may end up keeping them for cheap depth, assuming Pike wants them back.
I could see the freshmen who have shown some growth with us — Powers, Nwuli, Zrno, and mostly Mark — having value outside of RU, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we end up losing 3 of those four.

All us fans have no clue as to who will be the next to announce they are leaving and who will eventually end up on the banks.
With that said, I'll join in on this guessing game...
I'll be shocked if Ware is not on the roster next season.
Ware maybe if he’s basically free. I think it’s going to be hard for Grant to stay here. He’d have to take a pay cut which would be an awkward thing to do. Think of the work force. Let’s say you get a big promotion and then it turns out your not really cut out for the new level job. You usually end up moving on, not taking your old job back. This would be kind of like that.
