Had to check to see how long the portal is open, technically it closes on April 21st. Should be a fast two weeks. Had to look back at Fred transfer gets from the past 5 years and he is batting a pretty high average on his gets that pan out and contribute.

I would say the few that didn't really work out were Lakes & Edwards in 21-22 Grace in 22-23 Coleman in 23-24 Ulis and Griffiths in 24-25 and Blue and Garcia to an extent in 25-26. Jury is still out on Uggi pending next season and the Cooper kid from Air Force. But since the 21-22 season there have been about 27 or 28 transfers in so only having about 25% of the transfer not be big contributors ain't too bad. Couple 1st team all conference players couple 2nd teamers and some honorable mention players.

I got faith in Fred he is gonna find the right pieces to fit his system.

Let the fun begin!

You also have to remember that every guy doesn't have to be in the rotation to be important. I know Blue and Cooper were big scout guys this year and definitely played a role in getting the guys ready for games. Seems like Fred does a pretty good job of keeping the guys that don't play engaged and feeling like they're important to him.

Yep Judging by Kendall Blues thank you he appears grateful for a kid that played a couple of minutes a game sometimes in Big Ten play.

It's gonna be hilarious when Freeman has a good season for Nebraska next year. Only partly joking. Obviously Hoiberg is friends with Mac and will have deep insight into what happened this season, but his highlights from Iowa pop.
He may have been injured but he looked slow and unathletic last year. Worst NIL investment ever. He swindled Creighton he won’t get near as much $ next year from a new team. In hindsight CU should have hung on to Fredrick King and not wasted $$$$ on Freeman.

Creighton definitely needed a no kings protest the last few years. Dude was brutal.

I'll admit that I didn't watch him outside of the Nebraska game. All I know is if you go watch his Iowa highlights he looks very explosive and athletic at 6'10". Dunks upon dunks.

Kendall Blue put up similar numbers at St. Thomas last year and then didn't get any playing time here this year.
Ya , but you can’t judge everyone at this level the same. And Blue averaged 12 not 16-and wasn’t named 1st team all conference. Plus this kid was a P4out of HS and blue wasn’t.

Well, bad coaches make bad choices.

Not sure whether Nick is a B1G caliber player, but I doubt there's any chance he's coming back to Nebraska. We're pretty stacked at shooting guard / small forward whatever you want to call it. Shooters. Of course I'm assuming Pyrce/Frager/Essegian are back.

Saw something on Instagram about a Drew Fielder at Boise State. 6'11 225 and shoots the three at a 41% clip. Spent his first two years at Georgetown.

Maybe he played hard for Coach McCaffery? Looked to me this year he had a 2 inch vertical

That new CU AD had been wanting to fire Mac since the second he got there. They hated each other.

That it true and that’s why they fired their coach but painted it as a retirement. Hopefully Freeman doesn’t con another coach
He didn’t get fired. If the AD hated him and wanted him fired he wouldn’t let Mac name the next head coach.

It wasn't really up to the new AD...not right when he started anyway.
Any AD who would have fired McDermott based on basketball would have been a retard and soon fired himself. McDermott had way more power at Creighton than Blossom. McDermott was the main fundraiser at the school. That alone says who had the power to decide when they wanted to leave.

That is why he could not can his *** right away. That is exactly my point. But they hated each other, immediately. That was pretty well known.

Iowa about to have a guy enter the portal

Wisky lost Blackwell, who wants to play for a team that isn't wisconsin (Illinois or Duke is my guess)

Northwestern was bad last year but they are going to be really bad next year.

Illini will have 2-3 enter tomorrow

Isn’t Blackwell from Michigan.? Seems like a natural landing spot especially when he made the comment about playing for a NC .

If Berke indeed leaves I'm guessing we take 5 in the portal. Which means atleast 2 bigs. One to replace mast and Berke...why he's transferring. 2 or 3 guards. Maybe only one center if they believe in Curtis making room for a pf
