Pope’s work needs to be Stokes, Budunga, Blackwell and not injury prone, undersized, 30% 3-pt shooters. Give me three players at $6mill each rather than nine players at $2mill each.
Sounds like they let Mo go because he wanted more money and the way Goose talked at the end of the season UK isn't going to have the same warchest they had last season. This is what happens when you don't produce when given the tools to produce with...

So, any pg will work, you're ONLY request, is that they are healthy?
You don't want the #3 pg, because he broke a bone in his foot before?
I mean, I am worried about injuries, but Thomas isn't some frail, undersized kid.
This ... we had 3 PG's on Pope's first 2 teams with no injury history (that I'm aware of) at least in college (Butler, Krisa, Lowe) who got injured. What are we even talking about here?

He's been talking since he got here about knowing the assignment. Well his assignment going into year 3 has only best gotten him to the sweet 16 with a bunch of blowout losses compiled in 2 years. I'm with you just quit talking and show us the business... He needs to be ruthless but he doesn't have it in him and that's the biggest problem.
Knowing the assignment and being able to complete the assignment may not coincide.

Pope’s first UK team were as together as a team I’d seen at UK in quite awhile. They played hard all the time, so you’re point is moot.
They were lackadaisical more often than we would have liked. Especially on defense and injuries definitely derailed the year. That said, he connected with those players way better and they all seemed to love it here. We loved them back. It was way more fun.

If you didn’t see that pope was a walking disaster by beginning year 2, please, take part in festivities, but no more opinions in forceful ways. If this was not within your abilities, it’s incredible.
I’m going to try and be positive and see who we end up with. Then I will wait until the start of the season to see how they look. I pretty much am certain how it will play out, but I won’t pre destroy him for no reason at least.

Lets say Pope gets good portal class and lands Stokes. Okay good, he checked one off.

Then the the next question is, how confident are you that Pope can utilize that talent to win games?
No matter what he gets or coaches like Pat Riley if he’s losing 12 games he will be gone the honeymoon is over. Year one decent you had some wins were hired late and late to the portal with no staff. Year 2 AWFUL and no excuse.

Right now it's Johnson from Colorado.
A SoCal kid can be a hard sell to Lexington.
All the West Coast schools need PG's also.
Then there is still the Stokes factor.
Are we holding back big offers so we still have the money for him
Should have already been settled but that topic is another thread.
Really like johnson, quick, athletic and can score
The Oregon point guard transfer looks good too

All I see in this thread, is a bunch of dudes that are going to complain about everything Pope does and everyone he signs.

How do you complain about Dedan Thomas? Okay, he had a foot injury, all he's doing is talking to the guy. Chill the F out. I still want him though.

However, there were some funny a$$ memes in here though, not gonna lie.
He’s done enough talking. He needs to put his money where his mouth is.
