Lots of members in my family volunteered for duty, and never complained, or tried to make others feel guilty about something they probably know nothing about.

You're not even worth the response. Trump agreed with a 2 week shutdown and probably for good reason. Governors kept states shut down, not the president. Trump banned no guns, individual cities and states do those things, unless Congress passes laws.

Trump didnt start this war. Its been going on for decades. He just responded to it finally. He has done a number of things I didnt like. However he has done lots of things that I did like. I never had a perfect POTUS in my lifetime. Even ole Abe did some messed up stuff, but he had legit reasons. Was you happy he found the fraud in USAID? Was you happy he was cutting wasteful spending?

I believe that Trump tried to not have to do this. I also believe that Trump isn't signing up for the decade or deacades of massive boots on the ground like we had in Afghan or Iraq. Iran has been attacking /threatening us and our allies for decades. Consistenly US admins have been of the same opinion that Iran can't have nukes. We're taking care of that now as well as their abililty to decisively to project power, so that if we or others have to revisit Iran militarily, it can be done at far lower cost.
Glad that we're doing this now and not 4 years from now when IRAN would have 2-3, 10x the missles and drones and have bettera and more, hardened facilities to account for. We're only a few weeks into this. We had much longer air campaigns vs serbia (at Europe's request, i might add).

You stated irrelevant facts, if you didn't mean anything else by your comments than the military is voluntary. We know that. The point was, if you're going to promote military action whereby we're going to kill others, and be killed by others, you should make sure to also volunteer to do so, or have your loved ones volunteer. It's easy to send others you don't know or love over to die/kill ... it's quite different to send yourself, or others you love over to do the same. And the fact that our military is volunteer does nothing to change this fact. One poster asked another poster if his kids enlisted (volunteered). You tried to attack that question by pointing out our military is volunteer-based (which he already acknowledged in his question, and did nothing to critique said question).

Yes he ran up deficits in order to get the economy going. He took over a bad situation from the last admin. But he also took steps to get rid of wasteful spending and cut the deficit. The left and Rino's fought against him over DOGE. The establishment uni-party has their own interest and they hate Trump and what he's doing by exposing them...

2 girls and two boys. One of my boys was born with a disability that prevents him from serving. My other boy is 14.
I don’t want to send them, I’d volunteer to go myself before sending them.
I’m not pro war. But we are where we are and when you fight, you fight to win.
If you want to disagree with the war that is your prerogative and a reasonable opinion. But in my opinion, saying Iran was not a threat is not correct either.
