I’ve heard/read somewhere that any trips to Mars is 1 way - not coming back.

What else I’ve wondered is why NASA is doing all this we’re going to Mars stuff when Elon seems to be way ahead with that plan. Just let him do it with his private money and not tax payer money.
I saw an interview with Musk recently and he talked about a mars mission and he broke it down into dollars per pound for a manned mission. To the moon was in the millions per pound, Mars was in the trillions per pound. He said that one country could never afford it and it would take a worldwide financial commitment.

You're talking about the course the Imperial Navy fleet took and not suggesting that Japan used long range bomber flights from their home island to Hawaii, right?
I am saying that...
- if the world is flat like a Mercator map, then hundreds of planes made their way across the world from East to West on carriers, that trip around the continents would be like 30,000mi, and I think that would have been noticed/reported since thats probably 60 days of travel.
...or...
- if the world is flat like the second map where the North Pole is in the middle of the Earth, then that creates other global map and navigation issues which Flat Earthers wouldnt be able to explain.

So regardless of the map, they use, its a dumb argument.
