Close, afar, and all points in between.yeah, truly a shock. From afar she did not seem like a good fit.
Could not have said it better myself. She may be gone but the shots she took against Miami will set the standard in Iowa for years to come.
I think you meant that incredible outing against Baylor. Players who can go 2-9 with 6 turnovers in 18 minutes of play don't just grow on trees my man.She may be gone but the shots she took against Miami will set the standard in Iowa for years to come.

Probably not so much NIL. It was probably a quid pro quo. Emely gets an extra year of eligibility and redshirt. Jan has her deflection answer for when Emely’s name comes up, doesn’t have to do anything and allows the other players to take her minutes and develop.Makes you think this whole injury thing was a way for Emely to continue to collect her NIL and solve JJ’s optics issue of her leaving the team mid-season.
We'll always have her double spin move vs Baylor as her one shining moment as a Hawkeye
She's got a bad back.Took her long enough damn
I kind of doubt that JJ "lost" any of the players you mentioned. Callie and Teagan couldn't find the floor and Addie was likely told that she was welcome to stay but that her NIL would be slashed dramatically to be more commensurate with her level of contribution. As of now it looks like Iowa will need to be a portal school rather than building through high school recruiting. JJ has lost Addie, Callie, Teegan. And missed out on high level guard talent for next year. If that’s what it takes to elevate the talent level than I’m all for it. Especially with Iowas resources. Go buy the best portal talent you can.
Her and mo endene would make a great couple.Bye Felicia
Portal fail
Thanks for fleecing the hawks
Cade Rodriguez.I hope Emily's back is ok. It looked like she suffered with it all season.
I heard that Jan had the locks on the athletic facilities changed. Emely finally got the message.Took her long enough damn
Honest question...in a situation like the ER one...was she able to collect the NIL money AND preserve a year of eligibility? Thanks for fleecing the hawks
It seems like they could mebbe go into business together as investment counselors. Her and mo endene would make a great couple.
She learned from Kaden Proctor. Thanks for fleecing the hawks

McKenna is a top 10 talent by all accounts. We'll have to see how she pans out, but I think paying freshmen a million dollars will more often than not prove to be a foolish investment. Even those who end up with great careers often struggle mightily while making the transition to college ball. Four of the 6 key players on the national championship team were transfers. Look at the freshman years of UCLA's fabulous seniors and tell me which ones warranted $1mm dollars.
Lauren Betts 6pts and 3.5 rebounds (@ Stanford and transferred afterwards)
Angela Dugalic 3.5pts and 4 rebounds (@ Oregon and transferred afterwards)
Gabriela Jaquez 6.3pts and 3.5 rebounds
Gianna Kneepkens 11.8 pts and 4.4 rebounds @ Utah. Transferred to UCLA senior year.
Charlisse Leger Walker 18.8 points and 5 rebounds @ Washington St. Great numbers but only shot 35% from the field. Transferred to UCLA her senior year.
Kiki Rice 11.6 pts, 4.5 rebounds, and 3 assists.
At some point you have to actually produce. That schtick isn't going to go for multiple years and keep getting paidHonest question...in a situation like the ER one...was she able to collect the NIL money AND preserve a year of eligibility?
If so, that would seem like a tempting scenario for many. I mean if it isn't likely that you will be collecting a paycheck from the professional ranks once your, I dunno, 7 years of college eligibility expire...just collect a fat NIL check every year and try to stretch your college years out as long as possible, right?
