The #1 reason why I am ALL-IN with Matt Rhule and the #1 reason why you should be as well

Simply put, because King_WRONG is dead-set against him.

1. Wrong about Haarberg
2. Wrong about Hoiberg
3. Wrong about the B1G
4. Wrong about the Big 12 (LOL best in the country! best in the country by a mile! no competition!)
5. Wrong about too many other things to list here

Matt Rhule, we are with you because the odds are in your favor.

PS Did you see Michigan completely destroy the Big 12 champions and make them look like a high school team? They were up by 30 points at one point before calling off the dogs. This is the same Michigan team Nebraska should have beat missing two of their best players. Nobody likes Michigan but that does not mean we are going to bury our head in the sand and pretend the B1G is not the dominant force in college athletics.

Ahead of Sims and Purdy I believe. Which wasn't a bad take.
He was probably the best option that season, he was also injured the last 4 games, missing the last 2½ games. He toughed it out against Purdue and Michigan State. Haarberg was 5-3 as the starter and got credit for the Maryland loss even though he left in the 2nd quarter with an ankle.

During the October 28, 2023 game against Purdue, Nebraska quarterback Heinrich Haarberg suffered a bloody chin and multiple bruises after absorbing over 20 hits. The injury forced him to briefly exit the game due to uncontrollable bleeding under his chin.

I think Haarberg will make an NFL roster as an UDFA. If he can put on 10lbs and keep the speed, he can at least play special teams and fill in as back up tight end on passing plays. Blocking TE? No way.
I though Travis Vokolek could turn into a starting NFL TE. Not yet.

There’s NO reason, ZERO, to be “all in” on Matt Rhule but yours is the dumbest one I’ve seen yet. Congratulations LOL

Who wants to bet against Matt Rhule winning 7 games in 2026? Escrow only. We will find someone to hold the funds for us. Perhaps Adam Carriker or Matt Davidson.

Sooo......you're all in on a guy who with the massive resources we have here, has managed to go 19-19 and had not one, but two seasons where we had everything on the table after six games only to see the ship sink like a rock? A guy who ha signed off on about 70 recruits in his time here, and by all accounts have only managed to develop ( IE make them better ) about 5 of them? You are in on Mike Riley 2.0 ?

Ok, got it.

i think Matt's doing a good job recruiting.. we are getting a lot of studs in here. I want to see the coordinators be the best that they can be. We are due for a good year, and this year is going to surprise a lot of people!

So, your another Kong lives rent free in my head guy? Jeez I wanted to hear a reasoned argument. Instead I got fanaticism of a poster you are clearly in love with.

Why do people keep saying this? What part of the #79 overall class could make anyone with half a brain actually type those words unless you're being 100% sarcastic?

this year, we brought in a ton of portal player talent, a lot of it.. the hs recuiting wasn't as important. I think you have to give him credit at the things he does well. He's not a football coach, but he's far from worthless, if we only had a competent AD running the program.

Every season he seems to have a new philosophy for the program.

This is probably my #1 concern right now. Solich, Callahan, Pelini - all had a system and knew what they wanted to do. They needed players for their system. Yes, even Fraud had a system - his issues were far deeper.

This ever-changing philosophy, style, formation, sets, coaches, their styles... Reeks of desperation to me. That's why when people ask my opinion about this season I sort of throw up my hands like "How would I know? I'm not sure which direction we're going right now. Not sure what we represent as a program right now." Not being a smart aleck either, I genuinely don't know what Rhule stands for.

i wish it was clearer too.. but it looks like he obviously wants a more mobile QB and is putting way more resources into the OL. Also, this will be the first year in how many years that the OL was not coached by Raiola? I am really hopeful to see more meaningful running game stuff, but with Dana, who knows?

Best hire he made was getting Geep from Georgia Tech, he will be a breath of fresh air compared to having uncle Raiola.

That #79 ranking includes transfers. If I were talking just hs recruiting it was worse. Far worse. As in #91 worse. So, ya see, me including transfers and noting his #79 overall class is me giving him "credit at the things he does well." Stop saying he's doing a good job recruiting.

Name the five players. I'm struggling to think of of one non Frost player at the moment.

Last year was the worst recruring I’ve seen. The O-Line portal was good. Everything else is just ugh

Look at MR’s record against top 25 teams and tell me he is a good coach. He has only had one conference championship team in his career. That was at mighty Temple!
