She is low hanging fruit now with all of these names getting in to portal. Might be interesting to see if some of the bench players reconsider their decisions! How much $$$$ goes to big names might affect how little $$ goes to a benchy!
Iowa needs a starting 2g with talent. A legit player to help balance the interior game and take pressure off Ava.
Jensen will be under a lot of pressure in the portal given the expected ompecking order in the B1G for next season.
My predictions as of now might be something like USC/Michigan/Minnesota/UCLA/Maryland/Iowa/tOSU....

I don't recall Crump giving Iowa serious consideration coming out of high school, I could be mistaken though.
Won't matter what players Jensen gets. Some of you will find nothing but faults and failure. It's sad and ugly, and you probably need to follow a different team. You make everything suck.
It will be interesting to see who Jan gets to join the Hawks. The experts on this thread will not be happy no matter who she gets. To bring it all the talent mentioned would require millions. The Hawks biggest need are good perimeter shooters. You can't have all stars at every postion, role players are important also.

We still haven't lost any serious contributors to the portal. As long as Heiden and CCW stay we are fine.
Losing Levin, Rodriguez, Deal and Mallegni means pretty much nothing. None contributed much.

Thats short sighted and kinda dismisses a larger issue.

What's short sighted and missing the larger issue exactly? Arguably the only 4 players that contributed on a regular basis and are expected to contribute significantly next year are still in place. Those who wouldn't see the floor or were consuming resources that could be better utilized elsewhere are gone, making space for better talent to replace them. Seems like things are definitely trending in the right direction.
I wonder if Jan has had an equity discussion with the existing key players. Everyone is thinking the way to get paid is to transfer out. Jan has to figure out a way to ensure that existing players aren't looking to bail because she's looking to bring in and pay portal adds. She really can't afford to lose any of the remaining players or she's starting off in a hole.
But this is often the case with every roster. You can’t just dismiss players who weren’t regular contributors. Especially when there is a question about the coaches ability to develop and leverage skills. Otherwise you’re needing 5-6 transfer portal players every year.
Ava and TS weren’t regular contributors last year. See how that works?

Please explain. Because it’s not short sighted. They could have stayed if they wanted to. Guessing they all wanted more playing time elsewhere. If you’ve heard there’s issues within the team or with Jan then tell us. Otherwise it’s a nothing burger except kids moving on like they do at 95% of the schools now.

Horrible comparison. Ava and TS were true freshmen last year on a team dominated by upper classmen. Jan and staff knew who they needed to keep happy and in place and Levin and Malegni weren't on that list and you and I both know that. Emely was a bust and Addie, although not a bust, needed a huge cut in pay which she and her handlers likely didn't appreciate. Iowa can do a whole lot better with the money that was tied up in those 2. Now it's up to Jan to make that happen, but it wouldn't even be possible with those players still on the roster.
