Well, LG made her decision and we must move on. As a postered stated earlier this is portal era moving forward. A lot of good players and elite players are moving and shuffling around now. I am not going to feel sad about LG and anybody else who decides to transfer out because this is the norm that we are in and a lot of players and teams are losing their coaches, best players, etc. This is how it is now. They all are trying to get more NIL money, etc. Some of these players are going to be making more money that some of us who are fans. Nobody feels sorry for us that we have to work a 9 to 5 job, etc. This is the norm now. This is the real world. You have to be glad that she played for us for two years and TH play one year and wish them the best.

People seem to forget, like Reniya, Blanca was injured lots this year. Give her some grace. Let her work out the kinks!!
You are very optimistic, which I hope you are correct in your assessment. Been saying this for a while it will surprise me if Reniya ever returns to the player she was before the injuries. Verdict is still out of Blanca not sure if working out the kinks is an accurate assumption. But in all fairness wishing for the best, and hope she improves.

I still have a lot of hope for Blanca. I know she has potential, I have seen glimpses of it. It really is up to her. How bad does she want. Need to get PsychoT to have some heart to heart with her.

Well, I hope she will put the time in working on her game, but as I said on the other threads, she will be a junior. How much time is there for her to work out the Kinks. IMO, time is running out. There are two McDonalds AA who just decommitted from the commitments. They both showed out at the McDonalds AA game with Kate. I would go after them as well.

At this point you have to concede that she has a low ceiling as a player and try to upgrade. The goal is to have a better team next year.

uman1, I could not agree with you more. Our program is not a mediocre one; therefore, our goal every year is to have a better team the next year. We cannot and should not stay complacent by just making it to the sweet 16.

We need a portal big IMO. I have stated that over and over. I was just talking about players still
on the roster as of today.

We might need a 5 and a 3/4 athlete depending on how CB looks at it and how the $$$ is running.
Agree, ideally we would get a starting 4, starting 5 and a back up G (Can we trust Kelly’s health?)

PG: Kate, Kelly
SG: Elina, Portal
SF: Brooks, Hull
PF: Portal, TQ
C: Portal, Toomey

Zubich, Bonfia, Thomas, Astakahova is good depth with potential.

I am not sold on BT right now. There are too much talent in the portal. Here is the question that CB, Staff, and players must ask themselves over the summer. Do we want to move past the sweet 16 in the NCAAT? Do we want to move up in the ACC conference standings and in win the ACCT? If the answer is yes, then we have to go and get more talent on this team at the spots that are weak. When I say talent, we are talking about WNBA talent? This team will not get far if we do not start thinking this way. We have all started that the four number 1 seeds are way above everyone else in the field this past year, which they clearly was. I know we hate Duke and Kara L, but since she has played in the W, and for Pat S, she knows you have to have WNBA talent on your team, and she is doing that every year. She has two McDonalds AA coming in and we only has one. She has some WNBA talent coming back. Yes, I am using her as the standard now. CB stated when she first got hired, that she would like to see the triangle teams back at the top of the conference like it use to be. Well, in order to continue to do that you better look at what Duke and Kara is doing, they just won ACC conference this year, the ACCT this year, and they made to the elite 8. Right now, they are the standard. We have two choices. We are either going to come up with them or get left behind. If we decide to come up with them than we better get more talent to come in. We just lost LG and TH to go along with NH and IN. As I stated before, we cannot wait on BT and JZ any longer since they will be juniors. That boat has sail. We have two women teams on the campus they we can clearly see that has a high standard and they are recruiting the best talent they can get every year that CB can model after. That is our women's Lacrosse team and Field Hockey team. They bring in top 10 players every year. As I keep stating competition should be welcome and not feared. That is what Duke and Kara L are doing now. Kara finally figured it out. This is what UCONN, UCLA, USC, Texas, and SC have been doing for a long time. If we do not get on the boat than we will never reach the promise land of where we want this program to go bottom line. Yes, I mentioned USC because a lot of people have forgotten that if JuJu was back for them they would probably have made it to the final four. Just think next year, USC will have three number one rank players on their team in a row. I do not know if this has ever happen before, JuJu, ZD, and now SH.
CB has to have the money to be able to compete and right now it isn’t there.

TJLB13NC this is going to be a problem moving forward. You and I are both in agreement on that fact. If we want to go beyond the sweet 16 than something is going to have to give and compete for ACC championships, the top brass is going to have help CB by giving her more NIL money to work with . We all know or should know after watching this year that the final four teams were way above the rest of the field as far as talent was concerned. I have to give Duke credit. Their football team won the ACC championship game. Both the men's and women's teams both won the ACC conference and the ACCT this year which indicates that they are pumping NIL money into these 3 major teams. If we want to keep up with Duke, ND, and Louisville in women's basketball then Steve, Bubba, and the Chancellor are going to have to help CB out by giving her more money to help out with NIL. They are pumping out money for football and for men's basketball. Michael is going to get paid over 8 million dollars a year. People are criticizing about the pitching in baseball. Here again the Megan and her staff are doing the best that they can without any or little help from our brass with NIL money to bring top notch pitchers in. Our fans cannot get mad when the other schools are pumping money into the softball programs like Clemson, FSU, here again Duke, Stanford. These teams will always be at the top of the conference because they have decided to give their teams money to bring in better pitchers. This the way that college sports is going. You either keep up or get left behind.
