There goes cheap 3rd string depth

Does it?
I would imagine he is pretty replaceable for the same amount of money.

I dont under why people assume transfers are automatically more expensive.
Whether it was Dortch or Random Low Major Transfer, we were getting cheap 3rd string depth.

Moving on might be best for Bryce and RU
Dortch finding a program he has a chance to play meaningful minutes
RU filling his place on roster with a player talented enough to start.

I hope he stays injury free, but will let the fans of his next program root for his success on the floor.
I'll just root for him to earn a degree and be happy where he goes.

I don't disagree, I just prefer the depth to be program guys. Not a big deal either way.

Best of luck, Bryce!!!

i don’t think he ever really got the credit he deserved. Maybe not B10 level center starter status, but he played solid defense when he was healthy. If you paid attention, you’d know.

He got on my radar when I watched the game up close in person in Vegas versus ND. He came in the second half and played a big role in getting us back in it, locking down Shrewsberry. In games like versus Ohio State, Bruce Thornton wouldn’t want to switch off a pick from their big and attack Bryce and would rather go up against the guard that was on him. It’s little things like that you’d only notice if you were paying close attention to the player.

He’ll be a solid role player on a mid-major. He was probably pound-for-pound our best defender. He’ll get boards against bigs that aren’t overwhelmingly bigger/stronger than him. He’ll get some clean up buckets with those boards. Maybe even a post up game by his senior year wouldn’t be much of an ask.

Again, good luck, Bryce!!!

He could go the path of Woolfolk and be a really good big man at a mid major
He likely will. However, going up against Big Ten centers like Mara and Cluff, he is woefully undersized just as Woolfolk was too undersized to be effective.
