For what we need he is overmatched. God awful ugly shot. Be good for a midmajor team maybe but he’s not an NBA player. He did work his *** off when in the game so gotta give him props for that. Just not talented enough. It happens. Best of luck.
Yeah, I think that 6’7” listing is being generous. As someone else noted, he actually looks closer to 6’5” when he stands next to other bigs. Other PFs just tower over him.Unfortunately he’s also only (possibly generously) 6’7 and doesn’t have any perimeter skills, which significantly limits his ceiling.
No I know the answer. I asked because I never said anything about his outside shot. So I have no idea why you even commented on it. Did you even read what I wrote? lolFree throw line extended
I read it that’s why I said not knocking on what you said, agreeing with you more because of how limited he was mid range. He put up roughly same numbers here as Alabama but with more minutes and worse shooting numbers here.No I know the answer. I asked because I never said anything about his outside shot. Need more motion stories like the one dude from Whisky. That’s what we want to start hearing. Sure that will pick up with the portal opening but there are teams already eyeing dudes that they know are going in.Entering the portal

But he scrapped inside as well as anyone we had. I wish our taller bigs had his rebounding and defensive instincts.
I’m sure our staff is contacting agents but some probably already know where they want to goNeed more motion stories like the one dude from Whisky. That’s what we want to start hearing. Miscommunication on both parts. No worriesI read it that’s why I said not knocking on what you said, agreeing with you more because of how limited he was mid range. He put up roughly same numbers here as Alabama but with more minutes and worse shooting numbers here.
Gritty, hard-nosed player with minimal offensive skills. Perfect fit for Houston.I really like that dude. He gave us an intimidation factor. I could see him at Houston, seems like a Sampson kinda player.
Again. “The System”. A mythical creature in which we never seem to have anyone that “fits”,.He doesn't fit Pope's system but he's has a motor. If Pope used him correctly instead of trying to fit a square peg in a round hole, we could of gotten a lot more from Mo D.
I have said through out the entire year, he's a poor man's Dennis Rodman. He gets his points near the rim and at the free throw line. He's a clean up guy around the rim.
If he could have worked on his dribbling and driving the ball, he would have been a great asset.
Again, if you don't have system guys you have to figure out how they best can work when used.
Do you think Dan Hurley would have figured out and leveraged Mo D's strengths? Yes. Why, because he's a good coach.
The frustrating thing is that Jelly’s shot looks really good. Mechanically sound as far as I can see. But they don’t go in. I could see that changing though. I still like his upside.there was no way you can run it back with moreno/garrison at the center and jelavic/mo d at PF. hope this means jelavic stays, i like his upside and fits the stretch 4 we need but he needs to actually hit shots. lessen the burden on getting portal guys.
"Toxic fans," I see the barnhart waterboys have their new imbecilic talking point to attack the fans with.but you dont win with freshman.....
toxic fans talking out of both sides of their mouths.
Looks like Mo D wanted more money and Pope said no. Interesting.
This is good for UK if he's replaced by a better player.I really liked Mo. But here is how I feel about it:
* He made some big plays to help Kentucky beat Santa Clara, a #10 seed.
* Kentucky needs players who can make big plays to help them beat a #2 seed. Nothing in his game - or virtually anyone else on the team aside from maybe Oweh -- suggested he was that guy.
Lol that's funny. How would you use him? He averaged less at Alabama and shot threes better but they had a pg. He is hustle but part of our chemistry problems imo.Just one of many not properly coached or used. Same player going out the door as the one that came in.
He did play hard and wasn't a quitter like some of the others.

Mod wanted 3 million and we said no. So he thinks he can get it on the open market. I’m not seeing him getting anywhere near that but to each their own. These NIL agents are killing some of these guys. Guarantee half of these power 4 guys leaving end up making less wherever they go.I wonder if Pope tried to get him to stay, would say a lot in of itself.
We’ve had a lot of MoD type players over the years. Definitely Kentucky caliber but has to be in the right role.Dioubate and Lowe are simply not Kentucky-caliber players. Hopefully, this means we will be upgrading at their positions.
He has Keegan Brown for that, balancing the money for talent value, this next team will be able to shoot, I can say that without even knowing, Pope wants to run his offense & that requires shooting. He also wants creators from the PG position, he knows this is the year he has to prove it. What happens on the defensive end is what I'm worried about more than anything. The next few weeks will be interesting.Same. You win games with guys like gim but he cant be a centerpiece.
Unfortunately im sure we paid him like a centerpiece and understandably he doesn't want to voluntarily take a deel cut to stay.
As I said in the BG thread, Pope absolutely must get this money under control. Last year he overpaid everyone, which makes retention harder now there is apparently less basketball nil money.
All good brother we can bash each other on who we do/don’t get in the portalMiscommunication on both parts. No worries
Let Hurley lose 3 starters and see how good a coach he is…He doesn't fit Pope's system but he's has a motor. If Pope used him correctly instead of trying to fit a square peg in a round hole, we could of gotten a lot more from Mo D.

I always wondered what kept Kareem down.Nazr Mohammed is looking for your home address. He would like to have a discussion.
I agree, and the same thing with his FTs. I'm not a shot doctor, but do you think maybe its a follow through issue? The frustrating thing is that Jelly’s shot looks really good. Mechanically sound as far as I can see. But they don’t go in. I could see that changing though. I still like his upside.
Could be. I’d have to watch closer. But it sure looks like he should make more of them than he does.I agree, and the same thing with his FTs. I'm not a shot doctor, but do you think maybe its a follow through issue?
