Recently the military has been retiring many military folks. Just maybe the magic word meritocracy and also lethality are being applied.

The military is first WAR FIGHTERS and after that a band of brothers and sisters.

Criticize Pete Hegseth all you want but there has been three operations that are fantastic operational successes.

The military is greatly succeeding under President Trump and Secretary Hegseth.

The US is now going to have to meet the challenge of guaranteeing the free navigation of the Strait of Hormuz for all time.

Of course those countries refusing to help will need to be penalized.

Cuba up next.

Then all eyes toward the Pacific.

America is doing GREAT.

Thank you President Trump for being the President King Trump

I say that for you TDS dudes

Please criticize the military operations as I love to hear wounded dogs howl.

Curious how this stream of conscience seems in your mind vs written out. No one is actually criticizing the men and women of the military as they carry out their orders. "The Charge of the Light Brigade", as it were. What is 100% questionable/attackable/criticizable is the "thought process" that got us here. It is also why you don't surround yourself with sycophants because they don't shoot you straight - they tell you what you want to hear. There is no telling how much this military engagement has cost and is going to cost. Again, we have further alienated ourselves from our allies in Europe and are rapidly doing so in the Middle East. You think those folks aren't getting tired of Iran hitting them? Yeah, they can be pissed at Iran, but it cannot be lost on them that the US has equal, if not more, culpability in their suffering. Gas prices are up, petroleum-based product prices are set to rise, our allies are now buying oil from our enemies, and we have proven to the Iranians that they have control over a golden goose that they were not fully maximizing. All of this seems absolutely dumb as ****. Especially considering what was sold to the American people as an impending threat does not seem to be anywhere close to what our own intelligence community was telling us (both between ballistic missile capabilities and nuclear capabilities). Plus, no one seems to care about the 950 lbs of enriched uranium that seems to be under a pile of rubble. You know, the stuff we were supposedly so scared of?

I swear to God it would be nice if people just stopped and thought for a moment as opposed to posting nonsense.

you seem like a rational, intelligent person. But, can I tell you, whenever I see your name on a post I know it's going to be something negative about trump..unless the thread is about Hegseth, noem, Bondi, or any one of the Trump cabinet members, then the negativity is about them.

Is there nothing he does right? I can remember back just about a year ago, one of the major topics of conversation was the price of eggs.....trump's fault. Yet now, eggs are inexpensive...trump's doing? Haven't seen much about egg prices recently

Trump doesn't do everything right, for sure, but he's not always wrong in what he does....inflation down to 2.4%, trump accounts for kids, eggs, military recruitment and strength, closing the border, and there are others....And yes there are just as many, or more negative things trump has done....you can probably list them. Heck, you've probably posted about them, at least one

anyway, I'm relatively sure I'll be attacked as a "cultist" or maybe gay or some other slur, but, JMobservation

What kind of dementia patient calls a 4 star general with 44 years of exemplary service a DEI hire while ignoring the fact that the man who fired him is a psycho, rapey, alcoholic FoxNews weekend host who didn't do a damn thing to EARN his post?

You need to be deported to the sanitarium stat you old taint-licking troll

@baltimorened. as much as I like to give Trump credit for everything good and nothing bad I do want to credit him for being a billionaire who I think like despite my being a poor dirt farmer and down on the weeds middle class American

Just to pick out one point for example the eggs
price. In reality Trump had very little to do with directly improving egg prices

What he did do is put people in positions of authority that made good decisions on supply side economics based on their farming and life experiences

Similar in the last three military missions which to date are excellent and hugely successful he did again did not directly carry out the mission

What he did do was the the deciding factor based on all of the inputs he had and having the right people in the right places set the tone for America is run

I personally at this moment rate President Trump as one of the most consequential presidents in American history

He’s far from perfect and makes mistakes but boy is he good for the country

Just my humble opinion

Also same for Kristi Noem

Mistakes she made but she was put in a crap spot to make stuff happen

You did good Kristi

Same with Pam Bondi

Suicide mission she fought through and lived to fight another day

All good people on thankless missions with no hope to be praised even when it was going as good as humanly possible

Godspeed the Trump Train

I'd say the exact same thing about you but it is going to be in defense of trump and his lackies. All things are relative, people aren't talking about eggs because it is too expensive to drive to the grocery store.

The prevalent motif here is people out of their depth and doing things for the president instead of for the people. Those facts coupled with trump's bombastic, self-serving, vile behavior and rhetoric makes them all very, very unlikable and very easy to attack.

trump is a bit like COVID - highly controversial, highly divisive, calls Constitutional protections into questions, indirectly responsible for killing some folks (that one is going to get some of y'all for sure), generally bad for the rest of the Earth. That said, some decent stuff came out of COVID: doordash, instacart, being able to reserve a spot in line, online at the DMV (think that one went away, unfortunately), etc. Yes, locking down the borders is good. Identification of fraud in government spending is good (just don't go do it yourself). Making allies pay their fair share of NATO is good. Privatizing TSA is probably good. But there is an AWFUL lot of bad to go with that good and the MAGA movement generally do not acknowledge those things.

see, as I said reasonable and intelligent.

There are people who post where I would agree the term "trump lackey" might be applicable. For a small part, though some of the things posted are really over the top and taking issue with the statement doesn't, or shouldn't, imply support for trump but simply questioning the content of the poster. Just one example, one poster referred to trump as "clinically insane". Now that might well be accurate, I don't know, but in the back of my mind, there's this little question if any of us, who have never met or spoken with trump, are qualified to make that statement.

I agree that the President and all of our elected officials should be taking actions for the benefit of the American people and not themselves. And, while I have no proof, it is clear to me that Trump, and his family, have benefited from the Trump presidency. At the same time, I'm wise enough to see that he's not the only one. I look at members of Congress and see the same thing - not all of them - either putting themselves, their careers and their parties ahead of the people's interest. Why should we, or do we, chastise one and not the others?

And yes, trump is bombastic, a narcissist, blowhard..and that's just who he is. It's not a good look for the country.

While we are on the topic of perspective and motivation, do you typically sit around trying to find good things to say about people who are, on the whole, vile and making absolutely huge "mistakes" that will reverberate over the course of decades, making the world worse off for our children and grandchildren?

For example, let's go to an extreme ... would you be sitting there giving Hitler kudos for some of his military decisions? Or his decisions regarding industrialization? Or, maybe stop to point out how he was an excellent painter? If someone launches into an anti-Hitler tirade, do you stop them and say "now hold on a minute ... was everything he did bad, and worthy of criticism?"

Or would you "ignore" anything positive, because the overall impact of his "works" was catastrophic?

Did you analyze Ted Bundy's life, and stop to point out that he was pretty good at dismembering? Would you stop to point out that he held the door open for one of his murder victims (if he did)?

I'm just wondering how far you want to take this

I have been called unreasonable on more than one occasion by better men and women than me

But on every occasion that was used I had a sensible well thought out plan and explanation and in informing you and not bragging I personally have never lost a discussion or point .

I will comment to @baltimorened that I had many contacts with military base commanders over the years and never lose an argument when I explained what was needed and I heard their concerns and addressed them

It’s called compromise

You just want to scream out loud for attention

Your posts are great, if someone wants a reminder to be grateful for their sanity, but we can just visit one thread to get that reminder ... and you can still do your troll thing until your heart's content in that thread.

We'll promise to stop in and pretend like you're sane/serious and give you the negative attention you desire.
