To Atlanta. Actually like that trade for the Dream. They probably needed just a rebounder and physical presence to complete that roster.

If Reese doesn’t try to score and plays her role you gotta think the Dream are favored to win it all.

Or she’s a chemistry killer and it all goes south. A worthy gamble imo.
The Sky traded her for Atlanta's first round picks in 2027 and 2028. Those picks will be worthless. The Sky francise should be investigated.

AR is a legend in her own mind. Atlanta will rue the day they volunteered to baby sit this diva, this prima donna, this overrated wannabe. I don't know anything about the Atlanta team, but the Dream may have just turned into a nightmare. I only watch the farce that is the WNBA to see Caitlin. And if she is treated the same way this season that she has been, I won't even watch her games, and the WNBA can crawl back under the rock where they were before CC arrived. IMHO, of course.

Other way around. She demanded the trade. Why would Chicago want to get rid of an All Star on a cheap contract?
Some players make those around them better - my guess is she brought the entire roster down. If she accepted a Rodman type role she would be a huge asset. Her ego at this time won't allow for that. Rebounders and defensive players who don't score also don't get shoe deals.

What roster? It was her, cardosa, and a van slooten that is a shadow of herself. Chicago is a dumpster fire. She said if they wanted to compete they need more talent (not wrong) and after it all blew up she demanded a trade.

There have been plenty of "All-Star" caliber players who have been dealt/not re-signed because they were a complete pain. She is not a player to have a franchise built around for many reasons.

She’s not someone you build around but everyone won this trade but Chicago. They just traded away the only person selling jerseys for a nickel and bubble gum. Didn’t even get a player back.

Atlanta had the best record in the league. They have dynamic offensive players. Ton of versatility and talent. They just needed a rebounder and physical presence. All depends on if AR plays that role and blends in.

On paper the Dream should be title faves.

I remember when LSU got a couple of HUGE transfers added to Angel's senior year roster, the superteam, should've won every game by 20 minimum.

Lol. How'd that turn out?

Reese isn't even the fourth best player on that roster, but she's going to go in expecting to be the centerpiece. She's going to destroy that locker room and any chemistry that team previously had.

HVL was a bad fit there. Losing Alexis Morris hurt them way more than HVL helped. They still went like 31-5 and made it to the elite 8.

Even with Reese getting injured, they stayed within 10 of Iowa. Clark was on absolute fire that day.

Let’s hope not. Best thing to happen would be for her to fade away into oblivion.
She is likely to lead the WNBA in rebounds if she stays healthy while also breaking the rebounds per game record (which she already owns). If rebounds ever become insignificant in the game of basketball then, yes, she will probably fade away.

They had the best roster in the country and it wasn't even close. Reese had to be ordered to take time off by her coach and went on what, like a 10-day hiatus when she wasn't even with the team? And they didn't even make the title game. There's no other way to describe that season other than as an epic failure for LSU and it was 100% on the crappy team chemistry that happened when Reese had to deal with the fact that there were better players than her that were brought onto the roster.

Mulkey, of all people, sat her down for a games her senior season. She is a locker room cancer.

She made it public that she she had to address mental health issues. It wasn't because she was a "team cancer."

Funny, Lauren Betts left the team halfway through her sophomore year, people are now calling her a champion for mental health. Reese does the same thing against 4 mid major non-cons and she's a "team cancer."

The team also didn't fail because of Reese. She led the team in points and rebounds and had a better shooting percentage than Morrow and HVL (the better players that were brought onto the roster).

Probably just found a lot of new fans making that move.
Chicago, I mean. And I'm not really bagging on Reese. It's just that there is a growing trend for college fans to follow their favorite players into the WNBA. Get star players from your geographical area = more butts in seats.

Ya I'm pretty sure very few people here would stay Fever fans if Clark were to go elsewhere in free agency.

That's exactly the point. She should not have led that team in scoring. She's a diva who didn't want to give up the spotlight to better players and better scorers and as a result had to be benched because of problems it was causing in their locker room. And it's probably the biggest reason one of the best rosters in women's college BB history didn't even make it into the Final Four.

lol what? It was obvious that their season plan was going to go through Reese. If she was such a cancer, why did Mulkey bring her back?

They lose 5 total games, 2 to SC and 1 to Iowa, another to a ranked Colorado team. It took Clark going off for 9 3s to beat them.

The better question is if she wasn't a cancer why did Mulkey remove her from the team for 4 games?

Reese spoke highly of her relationship with Mulkey and said she appreciated that her coach did not tell the world where she was during her time off.

Outsiders “made assumptions about what was going on," Reese said, but Mulkey "protected my brand."

"And a lot of people didn’t think she protected me," Reese said. "She protected me in the best the way she could, and I always will respect that from her."

Reese said she felt her attitude was "contagious to other people" at the time.

"I wasn't in a good place, like within myself, and I didn't want that to become a cancer in the locker room," Reese said.
